RE: dionlaurent, That's exactly right, we don't know what was behind the
counter, but that's irrelevent to my comment. I never suggested that he
had no right to defend himself, only that he took it entirely too fa.
They weren't a threat to him anymore. That's not to say he deserves to
catch a dime for what he did.. He, was acting in self defense but at what
point does that slip over into attempted murder. The author of this post
must,ve had his ass whipped by some chick. He just ooooozes resentment
toward women, while the subject at hand speaks for itself. Spare me the
misonigystic whineing.
+Kevin DeVillingYet again, more ad hominems. You can't logically refute what was said, so you resort to insults and shame tactics. Typical. Like I said, No one knows what they were doing behind the counter. For all we know, they could have been trying to continue their assault.
I only had to read the first two sentences to know that your position is gutless. Only thugs and cowards keep pounding on their adversaries after they've won. Don't waste any more electrons on this reasoning, because I'm not.
+Kevin DeVillingGutless? Those who are afraid to take action are gutless. They being women have nothing to do with it. 2 people are attacking another person. If your opinions on this matter are gender based, you pretty much lost all validity in your argument. I don't think any of the people commenting wants to go around bashing people's heads in with poles, but that doesn't mean they don't have a right to defend themselves or support another person's right to defend his/her self. Nor are they looking for excuses to engage in war like activities without the expectations of soldiers. You're basically trowing around strawman arguments.
Ah. another gutless wonder who's afraid of two women who were all ready beaten into submission and had serious injuries as a result of their own stupidity. I don't have to be a mind reader to recognize chicken-shit when I see it. Since you want to be such a bad-ass, trot your narrow ass down and enlist in the Army.
+Kevin DeVilling Someone with your considerable talents ( namely reading mind, not just reading minds but reading minds inside of YouTube footage ) ought to have their own television show. You don't know if they were trying to escape, if you're bad enough to jump a counter for a 2v1 you're bad enough to get your ass #rekt
+Kevin DeVilling Bullshit. This has nothing to do with the shooting in Missouri. And neither of them compare. The guy was being attacked, and you have no idea what they could have been doing behind the counter. Also, you don't know what their intent was. It could have been to escape, or it could have been to continue their assault.
Nonsense. You sound like one of those chicken-shit apologists who defend the cop in Missouri. You have a duty to defend yourself, but it doesn't extend so far as you'd like to believe, That's cowardly. If they get up and continue the attack, then you're entitled to knock them down again. In this case the women were only looking to escape, not escalate.
Conceded that prison warps one's head in negative ways, but it's not a value judgement to say he over-reacted, it's simply true, His assailants were no longer a threat to him. His continued attack on them was as psychotic as the cops who waffle stomped Rodney King. Inexcusable no matter what the justification or prior history. He wasn't in the joint, he was in Mickey D's. That being said I still think he had the absolute right to self-defense.
A lot of people comment and say that this dude overreacted. As far as I'm concerned, this is a guy that served time and was hardly a complete year out of jail. The mental reflexes and defense mechanisms that he employed in jail are still fresh in his mind. Prison = dog eat dog. Then he's faced with these women coming hard at him and... immediately his mind probably switched to prison mode (how he probably had to defend himself behind bars). For some excons (if not all) it could take years for their brains to rewire. I neither judge nor blame him for what the public call an overreaction...
No, it's quite relevant to your comment. For all we know, those attackers were still trying to inflict harm to him. 2 on 1 is still a threat. Personal insults doesn't help your case. It's funny how when men criticize actions many women engage in, he's supposedly been scared by a woman or he's some kind of misogynist. Typical shame tactic. There was nothing wrong or misogynistic about what he said. It would be wise to look up the meaning of that word before using it.
Fast food workers protest outside Chapman Highway McDonald's
Shemora Rogers leads about 30 other fast food workers during a rally outside the McDonald's on Chapman Highway on Thursday, April 14, 2016. Protesters ...
To the people that are mad, you clearly don't get it and probably never
will. $15 an hour is gonna happen wether you are with it or not. The United
States never started at $8 or $5 as are cost of living goes up so should
our wages. The more money people make the more they'll spend, so if you
like fast food or are to lazy to cook or even like having materialistic
shit in your house or on your body. Do the rest of us a big favor shut your
cheapskate ass up and do what you do best and do YOU! Don't worry about
what other people make, Do in their life. You can't afford a burger don't
buy it and move on.
+Justin Porter They really should be spending this time looking for a better job. I hate to say it but fast food is just one of those industries that even if you do your job perfectly there is no way you deserve $15 an hour for flipping burgers. It's just not that difficult to build a sandwich and sweep a floor. And half of them can't even do that right.
