brand new Boysen reeds in it. Thinking of upgrading to the carbon fiber
reeds if I hear they are good and worth the money.

I have never had a blaster. Blasters have more mods available to them
though from what I have heard. I personally like the LTs feel for jumping
and overall. Most people like the 250r out of the old 2 strokes. All
depends on what you like. I have a banshee now and I really like it a lot.
Takes a bit to get used to it though. First figure out what kind of riding
you want to do then ask around on the forums and net to see what ever one
suggests.
stock the lt is faster then the blaster...If you are just looking for a
real fast bike I would say get a banshee or 250r there are a ton of mods
out to make these bikes fly. I personally like the banshee I have had 3-
250rs. Never really liked them that much. But a lot of people love the 250r
and they are known for being one of the best bikes made back in the day.
But it is hard to get one that isn't dogged out.
no the pipe fit right on. I had to use a pipe spring to secure the pipe tp
the front fender bracket. unless you fabricate a bracket for the pipe. i
got a assortment of springs from pep boys and one fit perfect. i had ftz
41carb,head,ignition,k&n filter, FTZ pipe-silencer,reed cage/carbon fiber
reeds.
not sure...it was fouling plugs out though...then again the air/fuel screw
was out for about 2 days ...when i noticed it the first time i stopped
riding because i knew i was parting bike out and didn't want to mess
anything up..and the second day i needed to get a video of it before i took
it apart
Yeah but in the video the bike was missing the air/fuel screw(it vibrated
out). the jetting was off and I didn't want to do any wheelies because with
my luck i would flip it over and damaged it on the last ride before i
parted it out. Even the way it was in the video It still ran good.
I still have the frame i will rebuild it again when i move. im not sure
what i will do to it. I was thinking of getting the frame gusseted/powder
coated and putting a snow mobile triple motor in it and using it for
dirt/sand drags.
nice bike i have a 92 that im building up.and was wondering if you had to
modify the frame at all to fit that pipe in?what all do you have done to
that thing?
Installed carb from a 86, swingarm from a 87, rear shock from a 88, axle on from a 89. Installed a FMF Fatty pipe &TurbineCore, UNI filter, Boyesen reeds.
I sold it, mine wasn't race prepped. I still had stock suspension and no
frame work. These old quads were known to break from hard jumps. I had an 88
too, there is a video of it on here in my files.
love these bikes im currently rebuilding my 87 lt250 from ground up the 87
- 92 motors have the power valve btw and 6 speed has alot more power and
take off is just outstanding if you get the chance get one :)
@cubcadetboy1962 Im not sure why the back fenders are cut i bought it like
that it was all beat up i will be getting new plastics soon as i get the
chance
