While I am a fan of Dutch cycling infrastructure, especially after living
there, I think the signs have room for improvement. Different colors for
the center, shopping, residential neighborhoods and civic buildings could
help people more easily understand them.
Although there are mistakes on the signs it is a great service for cyclists
and it represents the pragmatic dutch way of doing things instead of
pathologically avoiding making mistakes..
I wonder who made these signs. They don't seem to be of the same quality
the ANWB did before. Mistakes in city-names and the finish at back and the
'round' side seems pretty 'cheap'.
