When I adjust it under my alt acc, I have the pixel height set at 63 pixels
which places it correctly against my layout design when in edit mode. When
I preview under my alt account, it still shows correct placement. However,
if I view the homepage from a different account (ie. my main account
VendettaSiren) the placement is off by what appears to be 1 pixel. Thus I
would have to change the avi box to possibly 64 pixels. Has anyone had this
issue before?
Ok so for the most part my layout is working. I am testing out the coding
on my alt account avasolace prior to putting it on my homepage. I am not
freaking out about the fact that my hyperlinks are not working as laid out
in the iF3 tutorial. However here is my concern an it is minor but I just
want to make sure I am doing things correctly. So, I test out my code on my
alt account, I had to adjust the pixel height of my avi box (aka profile
pic).

How Blurs & Filters Work - Computerphile
Image filters make most people think of Instagram or Camera Phone apps, but what's really going on at pixel level? Image Analyst Dr Mike Pound explains some ...
Something that probably should have been mentioned relating to gaussian
blurs is that the window for them mathematically is infinite. The function
tends to zero but never reaches it, and thus every pixel technically has an
effect on every other pixel. The actual kernel size is determined by some
arbitrary cut off where the function reaches a sufficiently low value that
it has no perceivable effect on the result.
+Michael Pound Oh yeah totally, it would be insane to try to go into every little detail, I just felt like it was notable because there was mention of kernel size changing because of gaussian radius and thought it might have been worth mentioning even briefly why we do change/restrict it.
+knighty +Shadowfury333 We did record some stuff on this, but sometimes it better not to make them too long! I use +-2.5 standard deviations for my kernel radius, because that covers 98% of the weight under the distribution. Anywhere above two is going to look alright, but too large and obviously efficiency will be affected. The separability of the gaussian kernel (mentioned in some other comments) helps keep the speed up.
+knighty It would have been nice if they had mentioned this, as well as the number of standard deviations one should typically cut off the blur window. In my experience, 3 standard deviations is enough (at least for 8 bits per channel), but the reasons why one should choose that or another value, and the error that would result, would be an interesting video on its own.
I'm interested in the topic as I do a lot of Photoshop work, but
programming isn't my strong suit and frankly, this was far too complicated
for me to understand.

How Recycling Works
Join SciShow as we explore what happens to your stuff after you toss it into the little green bin with the arrows on it. ---------- Dooblydoo thanks go to the following ...
Question, how do you use recycle bins? I get really confused and I really
want to learn how to use them properly. Do you just dump plastic, metals,
and wood in it?
Can be posible to only use recycled products inthe future? Or how many
companies use recycled material for their products? I think it can be
really nice if we use only recycled products specially use NO foam. So with
my questions i want some suggestion to help the recycling system
+Russiel Huertas did you know it takes far more energy to recycle than to use raw materials? There for doing the math it adds to global warming. But... recycling does not get included into the factors of global warming.
NPR recently had a story asking if all recycling was equal and the
conclusion was that no, recycling some materials actually took more energy
that simply making them. I'm sure the NPR crowd was throwing their Bernie
buttons and stomping their birkenstocks but it made sense. Recycling glass
and plastic actually took more energy that making them from scratch. Metals
and paper were the two recycling stars. Plastics can be made effortlessly
with little material as can glass. (I still drop it all in the recycling
bag out of habit.)
+smb123211 It is also NOT included in the factors contributing to global warming which is a deception also. This is typical governmental impotence, it is promoted with public funds and total disclosure does not exist. thanks for the post.
Recycling 101: Pick up a recyclable. Take it to where the full one was
sold. Accept the coin(s) you get from it. If It is a dime, put it in your
pocket. Do this 50 times and you can put all 50 dimes into a dime wrapper.
Take it to a bank and trade it for a $5.00 bill that can be used to start
your own savings account. Repeat this as many times as you want for life.
Don't complain about being broke/poor. That's Recycling in a Nutshell.
+cryingzombie you forgot the shopping cart and never taking a shower. If one does this one becomes a statistic of the dreaded 'homeless' because it is NOT cost effective compared to getting a job. :P
