Richmond, CA: Fire ravages oil refinery near San Francisco
A fire has ravaged California's third largest oil refinery in the heart of Richmond, California, a suburban city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Report by Matt Blake.
2 weeks ago, I told a buddy, "gas prices are falling somehow they are going
to take a refinery offline, & it will be a way in which insurance repairs
the plant" "They will pump LESS OIL & get More money for each gallon sold"
"I'll give them to September" This fire was right on cue.
Chevron Oil Refinery Fire, Burning in Richmond, California
RICHMOND, Calif. -- Officials have told residents of two Northern California cities to shelter-in-place as a fire at a Chevron refinery in Richmond releases plumes ...
No body pronounces "Richmond" like you are pronouncing it. You are clearly
showing that you are not from the Bay Area. People from the Bay Area
pronounce it more like rich-muhnd
When many people think of a gas & oil refinery explosion, they only focus
on the explosion and fire. In many instances, the real threat is to the air
and drinking water.
I used to work there and their safety is crappy . Some H.O.s even drink on
the job ..Some even bring in beer during nightshift and Sundays and drink
and watch football . No wonder theres a safety problem . One H.O. "Rick"
would go around on the last day before the week off and turn off sump pumps
and steam tracing . "I just want to see if the other operators are doing
there job" . This is how accidents happen . Just like in this video .. Very
unsafe ...
