Great video! Do you reckon the cable and general design are easily
breakable? I'm looking for headphones with remote/mic to use everyday on
public transport.
+Lele Buonerba Strangely enough I'm sponsored by Beyerdynamic... I know that they are currently trying to make all of their portable products with an inline remote. The DTX 501p sound quality is so much better than almost every other portable on ear headphones out there. There's the beautiful T51p on ears (that I love but am yet to own)... the problem is that they are €279. I'm sure that on Amazon they would be a touch cheaper. The good thing about buying Beyerdynamic is that the T51p's are made in Germany with amazing build quality so they would last you a very long time. Additionally they have good acoustic isolation, brilliant sound quality, look great, are comfortable, and come with a case remote and microphone built into the line.
I've tried on (and used) a bunch of different in-ear headphones, and I was never able to find a pair that would fit nicely in my (apparently) small aural channels. From a very quick look at the posts (thanks for the links!), I think the Beyerdynamic DTX 501p would suit my needs quite well. But they don't have the damn inline mic/remote, which I find way too convenient for me not to have. I couldn't imagine answering a call by taking off my gloves, headphones and taking out my phone from my pocket during the winter. Does Beyerdynamic make similar headphones with remote/mic?
I previously reviewed the P3's on our website and sadly I could only rate them a 3 stars due to their poor sound quality for the price. Although saying this I was looking at this from a very specific point of view... that of our regular readers who have more discerning ears towards a clearer sound. However, they do look beautiful and would most likely suit your needs in terms of durability. Saying that I would recommend them. Other choices can be the Bowers & Wilkins C5's, the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3, Thinksound MS01 (which are beautiful), and finally as a wild card (in terms of looks) the sound quality of the Beyerdynamic DTX 501p.Below I'll list our written review links://theproaudiowebblog.com/thinksound-ms01-review.html//theproaudiowebblog.com/bowers-wilkins-c5-review.html//theproaudiowebblog.com/beyerdynamic-dtx501p-review.html//theproaudiowebblog.com/bowers-wilkins-p3-review.html//theproaudiowebblog.com/bang-olufsen-beoplay-h3-review.htmlI would imagine that either the C5 in ears or the B&W P3's would do you best. :)
Thanks for the honest response, Edd, I truly appreciate it. I'm looking to spend €100-150 for some good headphones with remote/mic to use every day on public transport and at home, mostly from my iPhone and MacBook. I'm not looking for anything particularly fancy or flamboyant, but I do appreciate good looks and value good design. I also care for the sound, but I'd rather invest in good looking and durable rather than in the absolute best sound-wise. I'm generally not a fan of around-ear headphones for their size, I prefer over-ear. I think that my ideal headphones would be the B&W P5 (out of my budget), now that I think of it. Would the P3 be a good choice? What would you recommend? Thanks a bunch!
Hi Lele! I would have to say that sadly the cable design is one of the most easily breakable designs that I have seen to date. If it was to be caught in a jacket zip I would imagine that it would not survive that. On top of this the Form 2i's don't have good ambient noise rejection and suffer from excessive sound leakage. This means that your experience on public transport would be difficult. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Are there any other headphones that you have seen that you like the look of, and what price range are you looking at? I might be able to help with some suggestions.
Unfortunately not as the cable is hardwired into the driver housing and would require rewiring and a soldering job. :(

Bang & Olufsen Form 2i Review
Hey everyone, this is my review of the Limited Edition Bang & Olufsen Form 2i headphones. These Limited editions feature unique artwork by Merijn Hos and ...
nice review. i like the fact that it's comfortable with people wearing
glassese for myself wearing one. I am seriously thinking of getting one for
myself it's perfect because i use headphone only inside , however, it's
quite pricy in my country it costs over 100 dollars
+2010cyberguy from what I've been told and from what I've seen, the grado offer a real balanced and refined sound that is detailed and I'm not sure if they sound warm but detail seems to be the key word.
+Weston Reviews I don't bother at all with the Noise leak, I'll be using at home. I like a sound with a kind of 'textured' vocals, which you feel intense. I hope you are getting me, lol. Regarding bass, I like a tight bass. Are the Grado warm sounding ? I dislike a harsh treble. If you have a done a review then I'll check it out.
+2010cyberguy yes they are, the only trade off usually is reduced bass depth and you obviously get more noise leak. If they don't bother you then the grado will be great.
+Weston Reviews Actually I had considered the Grado SR80e at first. But then I was a little confused. I want good vocals, vocals that feel like life like. I think open back headphones are known for that.
+2010cyberguy yeah the m40x are pretty hard to beat at this price. Also check out the HD series by sennheiser, they are pretty awesome. Finally if you don't mind the old skool styling the grado sr80e are pretty amazing. Only thing though is they do leak quite bad so outdoor use isn't advised.
+Weston Reviews Not professional use, but ya serious listening to music not gaming by the way. I wanted to consider the form 2 but I think they are overpriced and not that great really. I might try M 20x or other in that family (M 30x, M 40x )
+2010cyberguy to be honest I haven't tested that many headphones this year and the ones I have are over the $100 price region. If I knew what you needed them for I could help some more. Are you using them, casually or for more serious listening, or even professional use. If I knew I could narrow down some options for you.
+Weston Reviews Thanks a lot, which headphone would you recommend under a $ 100 price tag ? I like a little warm sound and soft highs and very clear sound.
+Weston Reviews Can you do a review of the Brainwavz HM5 ? They are very popular among audiophiles and are budget friendly. They are also very clear and have neutral sound. They also compete very well with the Audio Technica M50x which are higher priced.
Thank you. A bit though. For indoor use they are great as they leak too much to be used outdoors, 100 dollars though is a bit steep I'd suggest looking at alternatives first to see if there is anything else. But I will say that they sound really great.
Bang & Olufsen Headset 3 Review
Hey you guys, check out the new headset i got for my iPhone 4 ;). Amazing quality with great durability.
The word overpriced is overrated and do not fit in here, try another post.

Bang and Olufsen A8 headphone review (NOT WORTH IT.)
I believe they are genuine. I agreed with the review when I first got them
but the lack of bass is due to wearing it wrong! The headphones should not
lay flat on your ear but face forward inside your ear! Hence the rotational
capability. I can wear this for a long flight without getting the pain of
otherwise excellent earbuds such as Klipsch X10i which are painful after an
hour.
this loser knows shit about technology used in headphones.... not even gud
enough to pass his school exams 4get about competing with the sound
engineers of B&O ....third world economy ass... with defective ears... no
wonder they didnt fit him....social wanna be in true scene
huh? did you mean to ask what headphones i like with good bass? For over
the ear, the skullcruchers does wonders, and for in ear, if you'r a
basshead, go for the titans, if you want better balanced sound, get the
fmjs. These suck and they don't even look that good.
Expecting more??? They have the perfect sound and fit.. If you want bass
then buy dr dre. B&O combines the bass and the treble, so that you get the
perfect sound, with perfect bass and treble. B&O is clearly the best
soundsystem makers of all time..
@carlover72 maybe but it was bought on singapore airlines it was an
inflight purchase that my parents made. maybe i have a faulty one, but this
pair don't sound that impressive. i mean it has amazing clarity, but thats
it, no base at all.
Are you serious...you used these plugged into an ipod? Seriously, ipod is
the worst source in the world...these need proper source and proper amp to
sound good. YOu probably heard them at 10% of their potential.
so i saw these are $160, i own some Bose ie2, they are $100-$120 depending
on what accessories you want anyway the bose are PERFECTLY CLEAR
UNBELIEVABLE bass if that's what you're looking for,
@oinkstah: Please find out what the hell you talking about cause there are
two fucking stores in Singapore. And it's listed in Bang and Olufsen's
website. Don't say things you can't backup.
Yes they are worth it... They are so much better than all the other
earphones. I sometimes think people are right next to me talking because
the quality is just super!!!!
