MARRIAGE PROPOSAL AT WALT DISNEY WORLD! MAGIC KINGDOM
Here's a marriage proposal that took place at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida. This was filmed on Friday December 30th, 2011.
COOL!!! Seemed so laid back in an awesome way. I went to the Titanic museum
on International Drive and the tour guide person got proposed to on the
stairwell model. Was pretty sweet.
Here it is, uploaded at last. I spent a fair amount of time editing this, and have waiting some time to be able to film the park using my Panasonic HC X920. I feel I ...
Just got this camera earlier this week. While it's doing a great job and
I"m still learning how to use its many features, I notice that my videos
don't look like yours. I love that film look but I can't achieve it. I was
thinking tonight that it could be because you used some filter to get the
effect or you did it in editing later. Below, you say yo fu set the frame
rate to 25fps to achieve a film look and set the shutter speed to 50, then
fooled around with the f stops. I will try that. Is that all you did to get
the look above? Do you recommend any filters to get the look under other
circumstances? Thanks. Love all your videos, by the way! They sure helped
me decide on getting this camera!
there are so many settings to play around with this camera, you can just use it in full auto, but will miss out on being able to achieve different looks. you can set the camera's exposure to a slightly darker setting, I can't remember where in the menus that is off hand because once I had set that I was happy. the f stops will alter the iris whereby lighting or darkening the image which makes a great deal of difference depending on whether you are in sunlight, cloud, indoors and night time. you can use your post production editor to further achieve the look you are after which can make a great deal of difference, but I don't think I used it a great deal except for editing the clips and normal rendering, but you can add brilliance and contrast depending again on what you are looking for. depending on where you live also depends on the camera in as much as frames per second. for instance here in the UK I can shoot in 25 or 50 fps, and in somewhere like the USA it is 30 or 60 fps the shutter speed I use us 50 which is double the frame rate so if its 30fps then set the shutter to 60. I hope you enjoy using your camera, they are great pieces of equipment. regards Geoff Dean.
Once again another great video Geoff.
Do you think that these camcorders have had their day? I have noticed that
'all-in' cameras like the Sony RX10 and Panasonic's own FZ1000, produce
excellent video AND stills to boot. Plus they sport a 1inch sensor. With
this in mind I can't think why anyone would buy them any more. I bought
mine (contradiction!) as a natural replacement for my old tape based
camcorder thinking that this was the way to go - now I wished I hadn't. I
have found the images disappointingly noisy in lowish light (small room lit
by window/daylight). The manual audio adjustment - useless (not enough
oomph), and, when using headphones, every handling noise (even when turning
the front ring!?) can be heard. As for the stills - dear God why did
Panasonic bother?
Don't get too excited about 4K. Most people have trouble editing 2k. You
need SERIOUS processing power for that one let alone 4K. Also, you can get
just over 5 hours worth of recoding time on a 64GB card. Using 4K,
apparently, it's only 30 mins.
+Toll Bar Thanks. I have had this Camcorder for about two years now and since bought a Sony HDR CX900 which has an even sharper quality than the Panasonic. I still think that the HC X920 is a fabulous camera and will still use it especially if I want something more compact and easy to carry. I did look into the new 4K Panasonic model but like you have said that at this point in time most computers will have trouble dealing with it, plus the extra expense of purchasing a new 4K TV which all adds up. I did initially look at the Sony 4K version of the one I have and noticed how fine the quality looked when played on youtube in normal 1080 and then found that they also made an almost identical version CX900 but without the 4K. The speed at which technology is going is overtaking the old very fast and is also becoming cheaper to produce. Eventually you will be able to buy a Camcorder like the X920 at a budget price, hopefully by that time the world might be more than ready for 4K. Yes I see what you are saying about five hours normal HD on a 64gb card and only 30 on 4K, although at this point in time that would be the least of our worries and I would imagine we will use a higher data storage card. I will say that the Panasonic however does have a better stabilizer than my Sony. The Sony has a 1 Inch sensor which is great for creating different moods and atmospheres as well as a good shallow depth of field which I was unable to do before now. It seems to deal well with colour as well. I don't know a great deal about the FZ1000 but it sounds a real good camera from what I have read.Ideally I would like to have the best of both Camcorders in one. Cheers. Geoff Dean.
Thinking of getting this camera to film our wedding. Did you use an
external microphone for the audio, or did you use the internal microphone?
I am worried a bit about wind noise.
+rleunissen I don't think you will be disappointed with the camera. It has a pretty sharp focus, better than a lot of others I have tried in the past. When I first used mine I found it useful to talk while test filming, like for instance when I was focusing or setting the manual iris or white balances as well as anything I did with the sound, and then saved those particular clips in a separate folder for future reference. The sponge over the mic does really help a lot, and also doing it that way it can easily be removed leaving no trace on the camera itself. I hope you enjoy your new Camcorder. geoff
HI Geoff, I ordered my camera and will be receiving it soon. Thanks for your fast reply and advice on how to cut wind noise. Since our wedding is in december, I should have plenty of time to test things out. The sponge sounds like a great idea.
+rleunissen It is a wonderful camera.the sound was purely internal, I have it set to the stereo setting and not the 5.1 surround which is also an option; I also set the mic to the manual mode. If there is a wind about then indeed you will get that awful unwanted wind noise, there is a wind cancel switch which I would suggest will help a little; but what I do to get around this is to roll out some thin pieces of blue tac and place them around the edge of the internal mic and then cut a piece of mic sponge to size and fix it over the edges of the blue tack, then use some insulating tape carefully around the edges to help reduce even more wind noise and I can tell you it makes so much difference and virtually keeps that wind sound away. I picked that idea up from somebody on you-tube that suggested it to me a few years ago and I now do that to all my camera's if possible. Alternatively you could use an external mic if you so wished as there is the facility to plug one into the device.
