Agreed... the music sux! I had issues with backing tracks on all 3 of the
GT Resto vids. At the time, YouTube were stripping out any music that had
copyright BS on it.... I think I changed music 6 times just so I could
upload the vid.
Meet our new summer project; a 1973 Leyland Mini! These were made exclusively for Australia, and hopefully we'll get her up and running for Rock-N-Rods ...
marvellous. these 70s models are my favourite.minis. i think they are known
as mini clubmans in britain and probably the US too, when leyland owned the
mini brand in that decade.. when exported to australia though, for some
reason they were just all recognised under the blanket title of leyland
mini as seen on the badge. however in the 80s, different story when rover
took over and clubman became available in australia.. i think!
@thefruitygecko it does indeed but time consuming and bloody boring, filler
work i actually injoy if this was my car i would just strip it out
completly and dip it or sand blast it, even paint stripper is a pain in the
arse and if the car is painted in cellulose paint as its very likey
considering the age of the car it would end up just being 1 big gooey mess
even to sand it, it would likey clog up the papers on the palm sanders.
if u like restorations chck my channel out its a restoration vlog im 14 and
15 on saturday mines a 1983 austin mini city e so ive got about 9 vids of

I've always liked Minis of the 1970s. I particularly like the 1973. It's
the same year I was born. In this video, it looks pretty rough. The other
video I saw looks almost like a brand new Mini. :)
I feel sorry for the poor guys who gona work on this car, i repair cars for
a living and just from what i see all that paint needs to be taken off
complete bare metal strip, Good luck =)
Sarah's Mini - How to restore a classic Mini - Part 1
Part one of work that went into rebuilding sarah's mini. a 1986 mini mayfair, that now has ,any trick new parts, adjustable height suspension, adjustable shocks, ...
They are in Anglesey. I had started rebuilding one of them; sills, rear lower panel and other underbody areas. I had started to de-seam that particular one as the seams had corrosion damage.. The other Min hasn't been started on. Engines and drive train were working before i abandoned them. They are in a barn now.
Wow...Very nice job. I have just started on a 1979 but a lot worse than
yours. Tell me...roughly how many weeks / months did it take you to get to
that stage ? Also did you use any special tool to re-skin the doors ?
It took aboyut 3 months. No special tools, used a grinder to remove the skins, just run it around the edge, its like slitting an envelope. and a hammer and mig welder to replace
