Pete Burns admits the actual video is "shit", but he had to do it quick, because of the success of the song and (I'm pretty sure) was the reason the albums release was sped up (because the original version of "My Heart Goes Bang" sounds really uncompleted. Also, they couldn't do much, because they had to fund their own video, because the record company thought it wouldn't go anywhere.

Maybe it is a song about alcoholism... anyhow I can't really believe that just BI could never have heard term shotgun wedding because he is British. One of the me meaning of shotgun is when a guy gets a girl pregnet and is forced to marry her, thus having a shotgun wedding. And the father of the bride hold a shotgun during the whole thing. At least that's what I've found...
