Zagg Slim Book for iPad Pro Unboxing and First Impressions
This is our unboxing of the Zagg Slim Book for iPad Pro. Stay tuned to see if this is the best iPad Pro keyboard. I just checked Amazon and it is cheaper than ...
Does iMessage support the use of the Return key to "send" the message?
Nothing is more frustrating to type a message and then you have to pull
your hand away to press Send on the screen.
+bruncati1 I did not buy the invisible shield but I have used it on other devices and found they worked very well in the past so I don't see any reason why it would not work well for the iPad Pro. I used the Apple Pencil and it is is the best sylus out there, bar none. However, I ended up selling the Pencil because I just did not use it that much and had no real reason to keep it since it was expensive.
I have not used the messenger universal with iPad Pro but I can say that the Slim Book is specifically made for the iPad Pro and works very well although it is very heavy. We are talking laptop weight. Despite that I am finding the backlit keys work well and the dedicated home keys etc..really do make things more efficient. So far this is my favorite keyboard case for iPad Pro.

I really like the look of this, Logitechs' offerings too and would love to
try a keyboard on my iPad Air (Which was a gift.) However they seem
expensive for what are essentially just keyboards/covers/cases -not that
they would offer much protection. It would be great to see some reviews of
similar products on eBay. There must be some cheaper alternatives that work
just as well. Almost a hundred pounds is a lot to pay for something I may
not like or use too.
That was the only thing that put me off about this keyboard case as well.
The fact the hinge doesn't wrap around or detach so you can use the iPad as
a tablet. I did find this case on the web which makes the iPad look like an
macbook pro but its not out yet. Thought you might like to have a look Dave
if you haven't already.

Top review as always Dave. I do really like keyboard cases and folios for
iPad - they're amazing for productivity.
I also agree about the viewing angle, that would annoy me too. If they made
it easier to place in and remove the iPad you could overlook that angling
right?
Great work :)
Awesome review Dave. Funny how people buy a tablet because they do not want
a laptop, netbook etc. but then they turn around and buy a case like this
to turn their tablet into what they did not want in the first place!! LOL
Don't you wish that Apple would produce their own add-on's, rather like
Microsoft do for their Surface 2's? In my opinion an all together better
tablet keyboard combo.
surface covers are way better included trackpad, pretty much weight
nothing, no charge needed, and better overall texture sorry bro surface
just did it better
I dislike ZAGG. It is very unprofessionally made and very bad quality. I am
having a really tough time finding the best full body screen protector for
my iPod Touch 5. What is the best full body screen protector out there for
the iPod Touch 5 that you would recommend other than ZAGG? And will it work
and fit fine on my iPod with also the Otterbox Defender on it? Please reply
and let me know, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
I would recomend Ghost shield. they may have a location near you you can
take your device into and they will apply the shielding thats the same as
zag BUT seems to have a nicer glide texture. you will need to give them
your device for about 30 min wile they apply the shielding and then they
recomend a 24h no case or placeing in tight pocket wile the shielding
settles more firmly on to your device but defanatly check them out
I've only ever used Zagg and really love their products, but they currently
don't offer anything for the Nexus 4. What other companies should I look
into that have the same or better quality that Zagg has?
As always a good Video Mike. I like your honesty. --- 650 Views but only 42
have hit the thumbs up button, what a shame. I hit the button while the ad
was running :D --- Keep on rocking Mike STYNG
i'm with you mike! the cutouts is what made me steer clear and go with SGP.
which is big cuz i've been a loyal Zagg customer since 2008. Ive always had
a zagg except now

I just got this keyboard. Initial thoughts run right in line with yours. I
don't like the way the iPad back cover fits. It is too loose, and that
causes the iPad to "click" against the bottom when opening the cover. I'm
not going to return it for a refund, but I am definitely going to have to
be careful when I open it. Also, when I open the cover, it doesn't open as
far as yours does. It opens enough to be usable, but the angle could be
better. On the plus side, the keyboard works so well I found myself
reaching for a trackpad at the bottom of the keyboard! The keys feel solid,
and pairing was instantaneous. Overall, the fit of the back cover needs to
be improved for this keyboard to really excel. I will definitely come back
here with more thoughts, but initial thoughts are it's a keeper but needs
improving.
+Scott Holder I totally agree about the angle Scott, it could be a lot better. "the keyboard works so well I found myself reaching for a trackpad at the bottom of the keyboard!" - ME TOO!!!
Belkin QODE Ultimate Pro vs. ZAGG Slim Book- Review for iPad Air 2
Please visit //TheJoeTechie.com for more great information. This is a comparison of the Belkin QODE Ultimate Pro vs. the ZAGG Slim Book bluetooth ...
If you push the home button when connected to the belkin keyboard, will the
whole thing tip over (or does the iPad wobble)? That happens with a lot of
hinge keyboard cases.
+Josh Blumenthal My preference has always been to hold the iPad with my other hand, but I believe the Belkin will stay up with a minor press against the home button. The SlimBook for sure you will have to hold up while pressing the home button as these are designed to be so light that the weight of the keyboard is the only thing that balances out the iPad being held up.
JoeTechie your video Belkin QODE Ultimate Pro vs. ZAGG Slim Book- Review
for iPad Air 2 is very informative keep up the good work. Thanks cyber

+EricAvilesGOM I suspect it will work with both. I have an Intelliglass HD on mine while using the Rugged Book and the smart cover magnets are working fine.
i really think that for someone who wishes to use their keyboard case for a
long time, then the Belkin one will be better. The Zagg one will eventually
break at the turning point unless you never remove your ipad for reading
function
+Chloe Nguyen Even when you don't remove the iPad from the Slim Book case, just the simple opening and closing will break the area where the tabs are held in place. The Rugged Book has turned out to be a solid champ and a winner from my perspective. The main reason I went with the Rugged Book over the QODE Pro is that the iPad is held up on its own in my lap (does not require any propping up on a flat surface). So in essence it is just like a mini laptop or Netbook.
idk about the Belkin keyboard but I just bought my Slim book for 3 months
and within the first month of use, the turning point has already broken,
like not completely broken but it has cracks on it. And after couple of
times removing the ipad to turn it around for reading, the turning point of
the case just couldn't keep hold of my ipad anymore. So every time when i
want to fold it up, i would have to press carefully on the turning point
instead of simply close it like in the beginning like when you close a
laptop. It was like my ipad just slipped off every time i tried to fold it
up.
Since Zagg has one year warranty, they exchanged for me a new one today
but i already see a crack on the turning point so the retailer recommended
me to change to Belkin QODE, they said that it's actually better than Zagg
when it comes to this issue, cause they actually have been receiving quite
a few complaints about this from customers and Zagg informed them that the
problems have been fixed but they didn't see any improvements anyway.
I'm not a big fan of Belkin actually, i used charger for iphone and a
keyboard from Belkin before as well. The charger stopped working properly
after couple of weeks and the key board replied really slowly, i always
ended up reconnecting the bluetooth. Not sure about the decision of
changing to Belkin though, but luckily that i can always exchange it back
to Zagg if i don't like the Belkin one. I actually really like the keyboard
of Zagg ( not the case) cause it replies really fast, very convenient and
nicely designed. Thanks for your video btw!
I bought it in the Netherlands and i don't think i can get it from Zagg directly here. So i can only contact the retailer. They told me that the issue might still be the same even when i exchanged for a new one so i might as well try the Belkin. But I really don't have a good impression about the Belkin in terms of responsiveness and life-time :( And how is your Belkin now?
+Chloe Nguyen Hi, I had a similar issue with the Slim Book. I ended up calling ZAGG customer support and they were gracious enough to send me the Rugged Book (only because I had gone through 3 Slim Book returns). I'd recommend you contact them to see what their willing to do. I would imagine by now, they would be considering a redesign of the Slim Book.
Zagg Invisible SHIELD Review ( part 2 )
Support Me: //www.amazon.com/?tag=gepsfjs-20 Ok, this is the update from the first video when I showed you how discolored my Zagg screen protector was ...
@dkeberhard Honestly, I recently got the EVO 3D and decided to not use a
screen protector at all. It's been so much better. I think as long as
you're conscious about putting your phone in your pocket with no screen
protector you'll be fine. You know, don't put the phone in the same pocket
as your keys... I also have an EVO 4g with the Zagg Shield and don't like
the overall feel of the screen. I like to feel the smooth glass. I guess
it's all just personal preference.
found a product with an ultra clear screen protector that goes on dry (like
most screen protectors) here
"sgpstore.com/cell-phone/apple-iphone/iphone-4s/sgp-iphone-4s-screen-protector-steinheil-ultra-series-new.html"
... I'm getting the clear type for the HD2 ... I will update when it
arrives and I put it on. Decided not to use the Zag after considering your
input and looking at some more reviews.
Hey, nice video and I was wondering, How much did they charge you for the
shipping and handling fee? I have an iPod 4th generation. The screen looks
really bad. D: and I was planning on getting a new screen protector
soon..[Like tomorrow] . :3 I've seen some shipping and handling fees like
$10-$20+ >_
I had been doing without a screen protector and agree it looks great and
feels good too. Somebody mentioned that skin oils could damage the screen
over time so I "panicked" and sought something new ... I clean the screen
regularly so maybe I shouldn't worry bout that. Been researching the skin
oil thing ... thanks for the post.
good video - I appreciate the tips you mentioned that go beyond the
provided instructions. Got my shield ready to install on my HTC HD2. I'm
hoping this works well as most screen protectors detract from the quality
of the screen display.
Cool New Products From iSkn, Huawei, iRobot, Fitbit, Logitech, Zagg, Epson, and UO
Here's the rest of the cool stuff I saw at Pepcom's Holiday Extravaganza in New York City this week: iSkn Slate transfers drawings made on regular paper with a ...
The drawing device looks good to me to do artwork. I have since retired
from commercial art, but did draw on computers with a mouse if you can
believe that when it first started. This is always something that artists
wanted. Nothing like being in contact with your art on paper or other
tactile media. I will look for it. Thanx
The difference between your review audio and the outro audio is jarring, it
sounds like you recorded it a long time ago and forgot to update it, even
though you just updated it! Maybe re-record it using the same mics from the
same position that you record your reviews so you can keep the audio
presentation consistent?
This review style works well, but I do also like hearing the people who are
paid to present their products to you speak about them. Working them in is
surely an editing nightmare. This is probably the best compromise. Good
work!
Lon, I like this review format. We can use the comment section to tell you
what we would like to see reviewed in depth. I didn't see any products in
this video that I'm interested in learning more about.
