Now this is absolutely brilliant. Everything about kindness is beautiful
and can take alot of work to get a horse to trust and really put effort
into their work all because of some people that hasn't got the heart to do
things right in the first place due to it being so easy to just force a
horse to do things if it's harsh bits, spurs, whips that get used too much
/ get used in the wrong way or even using barbaric methods like you see
with people that get them horses to walk and trot and really lift their
legs up high from the moment they touch the ground because they have had
harsh chemicals put onto the bottom of their legs. Or even leaving their
heads strapped down tightly to their chest to make them look good in an
older method for dressage. People that take the time to give a horse a
chance really deserve the effort the horse gives them. Well done to
everyone out there that will take the time with their horse instead of
using force and abuse.
Just to add whips can be used for good. Like if your horse is half blind might be used as an aid if your horse is going to walk into something that could harm him. Obviously you got the aid of your voice, hands, legs, feet, body ect but sometimes things go wrong and a whip could help you reach the area to push or move the horse away from an area he shouldn't be going. Spurs..can't really say a good use for them but suppose they can be used lighter than your own legs but never tried and felt them myself to know. Same with bits only soft ones I use.

BLACK SWAN Featurette: Natalie Portman's Training
Natalie Portman and director Darren Aronofsky discuss Natalie's ballet training to prepare for the role of Nina Sayers in BLACK SWAN.
Well of course she doesn't. She's an actress. Not a ballerina. BUT. I will say this and I'm sure loads of other people agree with me.. She was more of a ballerina in that whole film than some ballet dancers out there. I'm a ballet dancer and also actress and all I can say is bravo to the women because she nailed it!
you see her hands and her feet and you know she is not a Ballerina,... to
have real Ballerina hands you need to start at the age of 10, and it takes
many yaears,...
Don't know if this is meant to be a "hate comment" but if not.. You are right.. And I think that's impressive considering the women had not done ballet in since she was a young girl! X
I couldn't help but wonder in Black Swan, Mila Kunis' character has a
rather large tattoo covering most of her upper back. I've never seen a real
professional ballerina with any very large visible tattoos, but then again
it's not like I've been to tons of ballets. I just wondered if a ballerina
would be unlikely to actually do that, like would it jeapordize their roles
in any way, or does it not really matter.
quote from one of the studios about dress code and tattoos:"PerformanceJewelry and nail polish are not permitted. Tattoos, if any, must be covered in make-up for the performance. Boys must wear dance belts. Undergarments must be clean, nude, and neatly concealed."
It get's covered. I guess it was for effect, adding to the image that Lily was rebellious. And check out dancer Sergei Polunin, that man is covered in ink.
