It wasn't jiu-jitsu that won the fight. it was Nate's stamina that won.
clearly McGregor was beating him around the octagon until e was out of
breathe. Credit to Nate's stamina.Jiu-jitsu does not work on a good stand
up fighter as proven here by McGregor and of course Sakuraba who defeated
all the Gracie's
+JohnsonHYLau *jiu jitsu wont work on a great standuo fighter who has great takedown defense and knows jiu-jitsu himself............lets not forget mcgregor has been doing jiu jitsu for over 10yrs straight.
K your obviously not understanding what im saying. Conner was so hurt that he went to wrestling which is his weakest area against a guy whos strongest area is bjj. That shows how hurt he was from diazs boxing . He was so hurt I could have choked him out.You just said if it stayed standing the ko was coming.Diaz got the choke that quick cause connor was hurt. Bjj didnt win diaz the fight, if diaz didnt know anything about bjj he still would have won by ground and pound. Also you dont need to be a black belt to choke a guy when he is rocked and gives up his back. Take diazs boxing skills away he would have lost. How was bjj a big factor? Also what does holm and tate have to do with this? Is it you have no real points about Diaz and mcgreggor so you need to bring up a different fight? Come up with evidence to back up your position. Boxing won the fight the choke only finished it.
+Ricky VanDusen Well if the fight would have stayed standing, it would have been a KO/TKO, but this is MMA so McGregor shoot for the takedown, and if Diaz didn't had those BJJ skills it wound'nt have been the same thing at all. So yeah BJJ was a factor in this fight, if McGregor was better than Diaz in BJJ the fight would have change (McGregor was rocked but not out). And you only talk about McGregor/Diaz but the Tate/Holm fight was win by a 100% grappling sequence. (sorry for my English).
It was a general statement to anyone who thinks Jiujitsu won the fight, which alot of ppl have been saying. Also if it was directed solely at them I dont think they need you to run in and defend them. And actually boxing won the fight, I didnt say it finished the fight . I really hope you understand the difference . Jiujitsu was basically a non factor, the fight was pretty much over when they hit the ground.
+Esoteric Ed Is this really that surprising? Both Holms and McGreggor excel at striking, and they are one of the best strikers in UFC. You don't want to fight them in their strong game, you beat them where they are weakest: Grappling.Aldo excels at BJJ and he was knocked out by McGreggor in mere 13 seconds.By your logic does it mean striking >>> BJJ?Sakuraba sure showed the world that his stand up fighting >>> Gracie BJJ. It doesn't mean anything. It isn't the martial arts or style, it is the fighter.
I'm a Connor McGregor fan, but he did attract a lot of scumbag fanboys that
have all disappeared. I just cheered for him because I'm Irish. Fair play
to Nate, his superior jui-jitsu showed. I hope Connor improves his ground
game more, as the man said it is good but not to the standard of the Diaz
brothers.
+PJ Wagner Yea I agree, but I meant work on his ground game defencibly, try to block takedowns and be able to deal with the grappln' side more. The Muay Thai leg kicks could be very effective against Nate, R.D.A. showed that. He needs to be doin' loads of cradio this time last time he wasn't cuttin' weight so wasn't runnin' and stuff in the run-up.
He dosent need to work on his ground game. He will not tap Nate. He needs to utilize leg kicks, then strike. He cannot knock him out in the first. It will last until the 3rd or 4th round. That and he needs to be more prepared to fight at 170, God knows Nate will be.
Did Sage Northcutt Tap Too Quickly??? PLUS the "Gogo Choke" (Gracie Breakdown)
While people are quick to criticize 19-year-old Sage Northcutt's for his loss in the UFC, Rener points out some critical details about the choke that will make you ...
The problem is the recent attitude of UFC to create EARLY phenomenon,
everybody expect some super human skills from this boy, this facilitate
critics for some normal performance. The truth is that you need more than a
acrobatic flip or bodybuilder shape to be number one and Sage needs more
experience as a grappler, he will progress in time for sure, but he tap
without trying any escape or resistance.
+Max Sbergia youtube dana white matt sera bigboy. Dana says "I messed up, I let him fight".. I think it was more of his sickness and energy levels that made him lose rather than a fair fight and lost
OHHHH FOR GOODNESS SAKE STAND UP AND FIGHT LIKE REAL MEN!!! JUJITSU DOES
NOT WORK IN A REAL FIGHT, REAL COMPETITION OR AGAINST A PERSON THAT IS
HEAVILY ARMED. O YALL GET GLOCKED YAH HURR BRUHAH
+ÉVARISTE APOLLINAIRE striking doesn't work against someone who's heavily armed either....... what a dumb fucking comment.also, is the UFC not a "real competition?" Didn't it work, in the fight this video is mentioning? What the fuck are you talking about?
Sage is a done deal! He's got no balls!
Sage's girly submission is very very similar to another girl named Conor
McGregor's girly submission to a Brit guy. These two are making UFC like
for some girly boys!
+TissDiss Why should he compete if his passion obviously is to teach people? He is making a comfortable living out of what he is doing? Probably making more money than most UFC fighters without taking hits to the head for a living. It's not like he has stated to be the best competition grappler or something like that, so he has nothing to prove.
IMO he tapped too early. I also think he may have panicked a bit about the
cut over his eye. - I just think he may not be emotionally ready for the
UFC. He's only 19. Another tough loss and his career and confidence may
be in jeopardy. He's an outstanding athlete. We might be looking at the
future Marshall Art's movie star. More money, more fame, more fans ... and
less pain!

@8thgradehistoryteach wow, do you know how stupid you sound or are you
purposely trying to come off like an internet tough guy? how can you
"almost" guarentee anything? if you were that good you wouldn't have to
take to youtube to broadcast it, fuckin youtube tough guys like you are so
full of themselves.honestly,do you actually think that the threats, and
claims of toughness you make will actually make you seem cool? i think i
speak for a lot of people when i say, it just makes you look dumb
That "good" person you mentioned hasn't even earned himself a title in the
UFC and gave a terrible performance in his very last bout to an underdog
who should have won. Silva, on the other hand, has defended his title for
something like 6 years in the most talented pool of middleweights in the
world (I dare you to name a better organization) with the likes of Damian
Maia, Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Vitor Belfort, and yes, Chael Sonnen,
to name a few. In short, you're clearly THE dumbass.
Hey I have a question. I dont really know that much on BJJ but in 8:26 when
he says to grab your right arm to your left leg and pull it must be done
early because of it being really tight later on. What if instead you pull
your leg with your left and then shit it to you right arm and then pull.
Kinda like using your left to reach for it and passing it over. I don't
really know would like to know though.
"interesting" blah blah "INTERESTING" more bullshit "interesting".... *they
hump each other on the gound*... "what are the problems training 90% of
your grappling JEW-jitsu training wearing gloves..." "takes your out of
your conf-" "ok let them answer" "ya of course"..."INTERESTING,
INTERESTING".... Stupid faggot promoting your fathers dick for money.
Pretty badly because he lost. I dont see how him making money, has do with
being good at jui jitsu. I could care less I enjoy watching fights for the
excellence, not what fighters make. Its a none factor to me as a fan. I
would just hope that they are paid well and leave it at that.
@iurhviusdfavhi Yeah its funny how he talks so much about how great
wrestling is (and it is against someone your same size) But then uses Jiu
Jitsu to finish a fight. I have a feeling he will beat Silva next time. He
might want to work on some triangle deffence though. Just sayin
Great video, but the promo at the end.. you need to leave text on the
screen for 1sec per word, to allow for an average person to read it. some
of those titles went by way too fast. That's something I learned when I
took some film classes, and it's actually pretty legit.
He's paid well. That's why I said he didn't fuck up. The first fight with
Andy propelled his whole career. No one thought he would do that well in
the first fight. As far as fight style, his grappling is a thing of beauty.
That's why I love to see him fight
PROS: Exposes the holes in my game, teaches me to cover up and works great
for the Bully role in Gracie Combative. COMS: Tough for Kimura submitions,
Position control and your opponent can tie up your hands easily. Keep up
the phenomenal work guy's.
Even for an MMA fighter. Look at his step over defense against Silva in the
first fight. He broke the triangle which a lot of MMA fighters can't do and
which Chael hasn't been able to do in the past. He just left his arm in on
the way out.
jujitsu sucks all it takes is one punch, one knee, holding someone against
the cage. idk it sucks. Not everyone has to use it to be good, like junior
for example. im not a fan of him but you can see how he doesnt need it and
is the champ.
Respeta a gente aqui. Jiujitsu is just a recognition of the human form and
what can be done defend with it and attack with it. Using it andbother
disciplines is just recognizing the human body and all it can do. Todos os
haters, respeta
Pro: Fewer training partner injuries. Makes you a better technitian when it
comes to hand placement. Also, makes you better in competitions that
require gloves (train as you fight.) Cons: Less realistic for actual street
fighting.
clearly youu know nothing about mma, everyone knows jui jitsu dos santos
has a brown belt in itjust because he prefers to stand doesn't mean he
doesn't need it if he didn't know jitz he would not be the champ.
He has never been on his back, the second he gets on his back is the second
he will lose. watch the video where he loses because he doesnt know what to
do. But like i said he has not needed it yet in the ufc

Finally some experts come out and tell as it is! Unfortunately 90-95% of
UFC and MMA fans are Kind of IDIOTS! When ppl start to Booo these guys
whom are put their physical health and even their lives on the line,so Fans
can watch and enjoy! So when they're boo fighters I get So Pissed off and i
am a shame,of being an MMA fan! Piss me off when ppl say "GSP,only holding
ppl down for 25 minutes" or "GSP is a Lay and pray fighter".These ppl have
absolutely no clue about MMA. It's like it's"easy' to hold a World Class
Fighter" down! Plus GSP always working toward Submissions and or elbows
hammer fists etc! He ain't no "Lay and Pray fighter" that is the biggest
BS!!!! Thanx guys! Even piss me off when Fighters like Big Country,Hughes,
Sherk,Uncle Creepy,Matt Brown,oh the Diaz Bros and few more guys, bad mouth
Georges saying oh He's fighting "Safe' Just holding ppl etc! But NON of
them will ever be as Successful as GSP is.Matt Hughes have nothing but bad
shit to say about GSP since GSP kicked his ass back to back! TKO and arm
bar!!!! Thanx guys for the great insides!!!
+jozsefkacsa do u think some of those big guys were on enhancing drugs? The UFC is the main reason unlike other promotions it has been able to hole the UFC and that along with MMA to superstar status where it is a global sport and made it much bigger.
+Thai Tran In my opinion the single biggest reason for MMA Becoming successful, was the Ground Game! I'm 47 yrs old I remember UFC-01, 02, and 03 We were so exited, watching it in the Roadhouse (McKenzie Inn) in Fort St John .up in .Northwestern British Columbia. And Royce Gracie who was 175 lbs was taking out Guys well over 250 lbs and World Class Legit World Champion Strikers, Vale Tudo Tournament Winners, Pancrace Winners Kickboxers, and beating the by submissions one after the other using simply his Jiu Jitsu and most of the times , he pulled guard and fought from off his back. It was simply Unbelievable to watch that! I Wrestled from age 6 till age 16 in School in Europe, and always had a love for grappling ,but UFC 01-03 was when I really got interested on pursuing Grappling (mostly Nogi Jiu Jitsu). I love MMA and I do love striking too, but when I can watch a Fight like Demian Maia vs Jake Shields,or Big Nog vs Frank Mir,that's extra Special for me! And it pissed me off so fucking bad when people were complaining about the Maia vs Shields fight!!! I mean non of those people can appreciate MMA, because MMA is NOT about standing in the center of the Cage or the Octagon and go toe to toe. Miesha Tate and Nate Diaz showed how lost and helpless the top best so called Pound for pound UFC Strikers like Holly Holm and Conor McGregor will look ,when they're taken to the ground by an expert Grappler, and controlled them with ease!
+jozsefkacsa how times have changed the main reason was because mma standing up you dont have to understand much about it ti appreciate it and the ground game is new compared to the striking aspect because it was only properly introduced in 1993 now compare than when boxing was introduced
When I first starting watching fights in the UFC I will admit I HATED when
fights went to the ground. I was a big boxing fan at first so of course I
am gonna want fights to be settled with the hands. But after learning more
about how much skill it takes once you're on the ground, I appreciated MMA
even more. Now it's my favorite sport ever.
+Thai Tran I appreciate all aspects, man! Everything these fighters do is like a chess game. Moving piece by piece, well thought out and formulated until one of them is the winner.
Dinky told me that he used to train in BJJ with Rener Gracie when he was 15
and Rener was 10. He told me that he could submit Rener in less than 2
minutes. Since it usually takes Dinky almost 3 minutes to submit me, that
means I could beat Rener Gracie if we fought.
+chamboyette853 Yes he is jealous to your bullshit :D and im sure you use your "friendship" with ser Dinky the dumbass to attract girls. Like freddy krueger's cousin for example.
You're either a professional troll or like a 13yr old fat kid with nothing better to do. Either way obviously a waste of anyone's time. Good day fuck face.
+Dre Day Uhhhhhhhh no. It's for him to challenge me since I already gave rock solid proof that I'm better than he is. Duhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! How can someone as stupid as you be allowed to comment on my refined site?
+chamboyette853 You know you can always just head down to his school in CA and challenge him. Make sure you post the vid on youtube. If not, then stop talking shit online.
+João Mattos Uhhhhh he beat Rener Gracie SEVERAL TIMES. So it's not just any ordinary 10 year old kid. Duhhhhhhh!!!!He has shown a lot of people the video of his victories when he was 15 and uses them to impress girls.
+Mr.Grunt Your statement was irrelevant, simplistic and offensive. How dare you! Also you aren't taking into account that Dinky was able to beat up his mom by the time he was 12. How old were you, eh?
Your forgetting Rener was 10 and this "Dinky" was 15. So not only did "dinky" have most likely have a weight, height and strength advantage but he also had more experience with jiu jitsu. Its like saying you could knockout Nick Diaz, because you knocked him out when he was a baby whilst you were a grown ass man.
