U.S. moving toward energy independence, report says
Full story here: //goo.gl/DBfT0 The U.S. will become the world's top producer of oil within five years, a net exporter of the fuel around 2030 and nearly ...
Energy efficiency must remain a top priority in order for the U.S. to reach
true energy independence that is both sustainable and beneficial to the
environment. Natural gas is still a fossil fuel with environmental
consequences. Relief from “pain at the pump” is not expected to come any
time soon as the pricing of oil is connected to the world market. Hopefully
this progress toward self-reliance can serve as motivation, and not a
distraction from cleaner energy and efficiency.

Bullshit hoax video. Look what the US agreement with Saudi Arabia is! They
are drastically increasing Saudi oil imports and production as a market
tactic against Russia and china and other countries. This is NOT domestic
oil.
Come on big think don't engage in this nonsense propaganda videos to fit
the US agenda
Just be aware that as you're enjoying the cheaper prices and adding more
sequestered carbon to the current carbon cycle, the fracking is damaging
the aquifers and potentially causing earthquakes too. Of course, the
petroleum companies won't take responsibility for that though; that cost
will be spread out across the tax-base.
good thing with US producing that no so nature friendly oil is that there will be much less US wars for oil in which countres are distroyed and milions and milions suffer. On others side electric cars will not be so hot anymore and that could much slow them
+Rand Huso I agree with you, but there is also a second problem. The low oilprices are a real problem for countries who depend mainly on that export. And since people and economies aren´t isolated this will also have a big impact in developed countries. P.s. Could someone smack that evil grin out of his face?
+Jan-Owen Nugent But isn't that the problem? "the tax base" is the same term used by the rich to tell us that the working people will pay. Because in the US and the world at the moment the higher your income the lower your tax burden, let alone the corporate tax which at the moment is negligible. So you can see how we are in a pleb-patrician paradigm.
+sershX Really don't like that term. It's often used in the worst form of classism, such as referring to low-income people as "bums", "rednecks", "ghetto hoodrats" in an attempt to degrade, demoralize and dehumanize the poor.
+Jan-Owen NugentThe real problem is this: the company makes their money, but the costs associated with their profits (earthquakes, global warming, health problems, and any other issues) are passed on to those who pay taxes. There is no corporate responsibility.
I hear that people who live near fracking operations suffer from major health problems at higher than normal rates.

US wins AGAIN!!!
+vin russo Maybe it should be you who reads and LEARNS more!! The US EXPORTS TONS OF GASOLINE (which is refined OIL)....either way, they DO IN FACT EXPORT OIL!!!! <-----ITS JUST BEEN REFINED!! The US has several refineries and that is why it exports. Stop reading Wikipedia pal...that shit will rot your brain! By the way, the comment I posted is a prediction....NOT FACT!! Get a grip...dummy!
Another genius on YouTube. First the US does not export oil. IT is illegal. Second we bought oil from Saudi Arabia in the middle east. Canada was always the US #1 importer of oil. The export law might change sometime, but until then, READ. LEARN. The reason Gas prices in the US are under 2 dollars for 4 liters. Their is too much oil right now. The US oil reserve is enormous. The reason? In case of a big war.
