What is excellent motor oil for GM cars and why?

Hi, Peter, is your vehicle a gasoline or diesel engine. The video shows a Dexos2 engine oil, and that's for diesel engines. Dexos1 is for gasoline engines. Is there any advantage to use diesel engine oil in gasoline vehicles? Is Dexos1 also comparable to Mobil1? Thanks.

+Oscar Flyer dexos2 is a group specification(GM group) that was issued back in 2010 and replaces the older GM-LL-025-B and A, and ofcourse dexos1. dexos2 covers all GM engines(diesel or petrol) and by using dexos2 approved oil in your GM engine you make sure that you use the best formula for protecting that engine. Now, I don't know how good GM branded oil is(I don't know who makes it) but for my engine (2001 Z12XE) it was rubbish. I changed it because after 3881km it was dark and like water. The new oil is Mobil Super 3000 XE 5w30 with dexos2 approval, will see how it works..

Ok, but here the dexos2 is mineral oil, not synthetic, like Mobil1 or Dexos1, What about there?

+Oscar Flyer My car is gasoline. This oil works also gasoline and diesel.
