what I find hilarious is when the shooting is justified the video is
released same day. when it's not justified the video gets lost/deleted or
if we're lucky court ordered released 1-2 yrs later
He obviously pulls something and they shoot him. It's an okay shoot. But
you make it fucking interminable with all your flabby bullshit about
liberals and poor minorities. we get it, you're racist because you feel you
have to be, and you're red because you don't want your guns taken away. But
you really are a hateful prick, despite being a fountain of knowledge and
insight.
Regarding the 1st video, I see your point that the spray nozzle looked like
a gun to the police. And, I agree that likely that the most important fact.
Still, I can not imagine how even as a fit 58 years old, I could have
responded to the order to drop as quickly as necessary. The only way I can
imagine how any person could respond that quickly is if they regularly
practiced dozens of times a week so that it becomes a reflex. A very small
fraction of the population do that for specific sports. But, no one does
that for when walking down the street. And frankly, even if most people
practiced so they could reasonably respond as this case required, criminals
would take advantage of this reflex.
The 1st reaction of any person to a police car racing up, with police
jumping out with guns drawn would be alarm & fear. This would be the
reaction of any person, criminal or not.
I don't like that police are so concerned for their safety so much of the
time that they are justified in the eyes of the law to put the public at
risk for the officer's own safety.
I really think that police should have an attitude of service such that
they will never make the 1st aggressive move but rather take the 1st shot
if necessary. But, I recognize that my opinion is extreme & not shared by
most of the public & certainly not by most officers.
One final point: As I understand it, the biggest hazard to most officers is
their weight & inactivity. The 2nd biggest hazard is their patrol car &
their aggressive driving. So few officers are harmed by the public that
they could be passive in all situations along the lines of what was shown
in the 1st video that numerically, very few officers would be harmed
annually by the passive approach that I'm advocating. Yet, because police
are aggressive for "officer safety" reasons that annually, a factor of 100
more members of the public are harmed by police than the other way around.
And, individual officer's exposure is likely a factor of 10000 higher than
individual members of the public exposure.
+Think Like A Cop - The Rest Of The Story Peace, peace. So sorry to provoke a vigorous response. I agreed & still agree with your point regarding the spray nozzle looking like a gun. But, doesn't my point regarding the reflex reaction have any merit at all?
+Engineering Oyster LESSON TO LEARN: if you are too slow or stupid to NOT threaten someone with a water hose and say it is a gun, or too stupid too not understand when cops have guns pointed at you that you should NOT reach into your pocket and pull out something that looks like a gun and if you too slow know how to put your EMPTY hands and lay down on the ground, Then perhaps you should stay inside. OR you just blame everyone else for your stupid decisions and end up dead, that works too.
+1mpu7seR34peRrex lol, what part, that they only hit him seven times?
Body cams show deadly shooting by Fresno police graphic content
Body cams show deadly shooting by Fresno police graphic content Warning: graphic content. Attorneys for the family of Freddy Centeno released video that ...
So...pull up, say their police department, make unlawful demand...wait
exactly 3 seconds, then cop one unloads 5 shots (last shot after the guy is
dead), and cop two unloads 4 shots...a total of 9 shots...for what? Was
this man about to KILL one of them...since the cops weapon is for life and
death... couldn't taser? Couldnt pepper spray? Had to go straight into live
fire? From the moment they arrived, maybe before, they were planning on
using deadly force..went straight to the top... Guy never stood a chance.
But hey, thankfully this is America, and our justice system will ensure
that these two law abiding police officers are charged rightfully with a
few awards and sent along their merry way. :)
It all starts with training...but now that I have a younger family member
going through...she tells me that they are already teaching her how to "get
around laws" and "get away with" things... She told me it's scary. Thats
fucked..
+George Martin If you paid attention you'd notice the guy goes into his pocket and pulls something out. obviously we can't tell its a gun or a knife or just something else but its pretty clear he has something in his hand that he did not before hand.
You're right they don't, but this is a m9, you can tell from the rear sights, hammer, and grip.If anything else, it would be a glock, for police fire arms have to be a standard issue fire arm, Glock, or Beretta. And neither of these are boxes.
