Tax Tips & Advice : How to Write a Check to the IRS
Sometimes people end up owing money to the IRS at the end of the year and there are a few important details to know when writing a check to the government.
Just a tip to the people watching this video. Don't write "tax payer" on
that line. What she means is that you are the tax payer, so write your
name there. Also, the tax payer identification number is simply your
social security number, so instead of that number that has the dashes and
Xs in it, write your social security number on that line. Also, on the back
where you usually sign your name, write "for deposit only" instead.
This is a good presentation to those taxpayers who may be a bit nervous and
want to do everything properly so they won't be in any trouble.
