Cindy, I noticed the same sheet way back as well. It's all about profit.
IMO the major deterrent to change and innovation is the profit motive! If
there is no increase in profits then there is no mother effing way it will
see the light of day. I would speculate the even using getting Hydrogen
from water is far cheap than we've been lead to believe. The problem is the
economy based on profit motive. If our system were based on quality ...
No kidding! I have been wondering this for years. I owned a 95 Geo Metro
that absolutely got 50 mpg. I drove it everywhere. Also in 83 Chevy made a
full size pick-up truck that got 28 city and 39 hwy. So nobody can tell me
that the technology isn't there. It's been there since 1959! Also what's up
with these so called "hybrid" cars that you pay dearly for, which get less
mpg than a Geo Metro? PuhLease!!!!!
373 mpg? Wow, I remember hearing tales of guys back in the late 1950s who
got vapor from liquid gasoline and got over 100 mpg but I guess Shell Oil
could afford to upgrade their system without any fear of going over budget.
I would guess they had a very slick system. But several Shell engineers
would hammer out the problems pretty darn fast since they personally didn't
have to foot the bill.
So, as a US Green Building Council LEED AP and former Marine... I'm
interested. But I'm skeptical at the same time. Ever seen the ridiculous
"free electricity... just buy these blue prints" fiasco? It's a joke. But
this doesn't seem too far-fetched.
VAPOR! I once had the carb go bad on my car, the top speed was 25 MPH but
the gas mileage was off the charts! Why? It was running on vapors! I should
have figured out how to get it to go faster......
