In today's episode, I was fortunate enough to score this awesome interview with my friend Mike. I met Mike through my school's car club, and quickly found out ...
+Sean Johnstone //imgur.com/h3Ww41T 1st run was the best. Started to heat soak after that and was pulling timing on 87 octane. I dropped the fan temps after that and switched to 89.
+Sean Johnstone I have a dyno sheet somewhere but there is a screenshot of it on the RCR review, it made 296rwhp/351rwtq. I have yet to take it to the track but my friend Gerry (the previous owner of the car whom I built it for) ran 15.01 @ 95 with a crap 60' of 2.3. He learned stick on this car 3 weeks prior. Car should be good for low 14s with the driver mod but the real issue is traction, there is none with 3.73s and 235 junkyard futuras. Car weighs 4k but I've since cut more weight out of it.
Depends on how much gear is in it. If hes running 411s with that 6speed hes in the midn14s . . These cars aren't that much heaver than the ss impala . The stock ss impala on spray and tune runs 13s, and stock runs 15s its one on youtube running those times its green
+Sean Johnstone Ha! Good one, I see no issue with this car running low 15s. It's 4200lbs, but I bet stripping the interior and trunk would take that down several hundred lbs...then you're really talking. This thing eats unsuspecting cars all the time. 300WHP is a lot, and besides, a sleeper doesn't mean good quarter times...it means you look harmless but you're really a lot faster than your opponent in the end.
I've owned 3 , Limited, a dyna-ride and GTS...all 95 RM's ...all with
differnet final drive ratios...the GTS was their trailer puller...but with
9C11 anti-sway suspension...very rare to find rear disc brakes... 22-25
mpg's, top speed limited to 105....but my GTS would out-drag the rest. Now
I'm just dow to 2 96 Fleetwood Broughams....a little better interior
upgrade...better leather...getting rare. thanx for the memories
+Joe k +JunkRaceCars is Mike's channel, I'm sure he can provide some input. Pretty sure he said he had to cut a hole in the firewall to fish the clutch pedal through.
