This happened to me just yesterday. I suddenly noticed the engine sounded like it was in overdrive, then noticed the O/D light on the dash. So, when I had the chance to stop at a red light, I shifted into park and back to drive, and that seemed to do the trick. I have to take the car in for its regular maintenance check anyway, so we'll see if they have anything to say about that.

This exact same thing happened to me two times on May 3, 2014 in my 2012 Murano. When I took it to the dealership it was ok and they could not duplicate the situation. Therefore they said there was nothing they could do about it. Nissan the corp. would not talk to them about it unless the dealership had experienced it first hand.

Did you find out what was wrong? I just got one and it's doing the same thing. I start off and then I'll notice that the engine sounds different and then will notice that the Overdrive light is on (whthout touchng the switch).
