My Water Fasting Experience (One month post fast - LFRV!!!!!)
One month post fast!! FOUR WEEKS LFRV!! May 1st 2010 (Guam is a day ahead of the states) TOPICS: Bad Weekend Weight Loss Fruity days Future Fasting ...
I did a water fast once for over 2weeks. Not because I wanted to. I was
broke and couldn't afford food(or electricity)...it was the worst thing I
ever experience(1 of the worst things)...I was blacking out. I was in serve
abdominal pain. I was final able to eat. I had a big meal from the
café,which was a bad idea, because fore 3days after I was in even more
pain, and still couldn't eat properly. It's like the body had relearn how to
digest food, because it "went to sleep". Which is why they recommend the
"ease out" when doing the "Master cleanse". It is so painful. Experience
this a few time ,a week at a time, at different periods, after the initial
time. Wouldn't recommend it,as it is very painful, unless of course you
have professional supervision,as she stated. Just thought i'd share.
Ok its been over a year since my fast. What I did is that I used it only to
lose about 20 pounds because my fast paced heavy job didnt allow me to
continue a daily fast. So after the fast I worked out like crazy and I lost
40 pounds in 2 months. It wasnt very healthy because I ended up injuring my
hip from running too much and pushing my body instead of doing gradual
workouts. After that I went to volunteer in Japan, the labor and food lost
me another 10 pounds. I was a size 12 when I came back
you are such an inspiration im gonna watch ur videos everyday as i do my
fast to stop me from breaking it too early im on day 2, today so i feel
like hell with the dizzyness and headaches and hopefully it goes away soon.
i do have a couple of questions tho, 1st how tall are you , 2 and i really
hope this isnt too personal or offensive, did the weightloss affect your
breast size and shape im have fairly large breasts and i think theyre my
best feature and im worried theyll get smaller n saggier?
Way to go, Mindy! There definitely a big difference, not only weight, but
your eyes and skin looks so much healthier and glowing on your post fast
pictures. I'm just at the end of day three of my fast now, and I will be
ending it when you start your next fast it seems.. If you'd like to fast
together with me next time, I'd love that, let me know. Would be so much
easier to stay motivated if one could do it with someone.. (Who get's it,
and aren't trying to sabotage and stuff.. ;-) ) Cheers
@bluewildflower12 Not necessarily I was just saying that cereal is hard on
your body and its no wonder you got sick. However you should stick to fresh
raw foods for a bit after your fast because they are easiest to digest -
you don't want to freak your digestive system out right away. Also you need
to refeed and renurish....raw plant foods are the best for this. I'm not
really talking about weight here more about doing this the healthiest way.
@kailynstar89 Thanks! I follow 80/10/10 or low fat raw vegan - check out
Dr. Graham's book on the matter he explains everything much better than I
can. I do eat greens and some veggies if I was just eating mangoes &
bananas that was because I had a ton right from the backyard and didn't
want them to go to waste. Protein posioning is much more common then
difficency it just comes in the form of cancer, tumors, and organs shutting
down.
@arrggxpirate Hi there!! No I didn't however I did stretching, very light
rebounding (just for lymph clearing effect), and some brisk walking here
and there. You should never be doing anything that your breath is quickened
during fasting because your heart rate is already so high. Fast should
equal rest!! You will actually get rid of more junk the more energy you
conserve - good luck & let me know if you have any other questions!!
@thegoldenboy294 Ah there were sooo many!!! If you check out my channel
page I list a lot of the physical results - I definitely reached an amazing
level of connection with the earth and my surroundings. I don't really
think my memory changed much - I've always had a pretty crappy memory so
maybe it was so bad the change didn't seem like much :) Other than that I
can pretty much say every aspect of my life improved with fasting.
Hello There, Im struggling with my weight right now im 18 im 5'2 and i
weigh 189 :,( no matter wat i do i cant lose weight, i was considering to
water fast to see how that would work out but i dnt know how to start it
out or for how long ,:/ can you please help me out? my goal is to lose as
much weight as i can, i have a boyfreind and he went to the army he went
for trainig he is comeing back in august i want to surprise him(,:
Wow I am glad someone else did a month fast! I am currently on day nine of
my fast and I plan on doing it for another 38 days. I know it sounds really
crazy but I am doing it for weightloss reasons and I am very motivated. I
started out at 208 (I know UGH!) and I am now currently 195. I drink only
water, green tea and I do very light moderate excersize like walking or
lifting 1 pound weights. My goal is to get down to 145-155.
@halexa28 Gaining back weight is very easy if you don't follow the right
diet & introduce exercise when your able to. Personally I don't think there
was an odor...in fact through the fast that is one thing that diminished
for me although I hadn't eaten meat in years so that may have helped. For
me the sleep was bad but my sleep before the fast was always bad. Some days
energy was low other days it was high. Hope this helps!!
You want the truth? You look fantastic! Amazing transformation and thanks
for sharing the pics. It gives inspiration as to what can be accomplished.
What's most impressive is that you're keeping the weight right where it was
when you broke the fast and you changed your eating habits and lifestyle,
from the sounds of it. Boy, do I have my work cut out for me on my journey.
Sigh. Bravo to you and thanks again!
@naughtyangeleyes Congrats on day 2!! I am 5'6" and as far as the chest
dilema....they did get smaller but not saggier. I didn't get any saggy skin
with the weight loss & I do believe that is because of all the water. I
also don't mind that they shrunk a bit...the rest of me shrunk so they
still fill out my chest. If your feeling dizzy & having headaches drink
more water!!! Hope this helps :) Keep it going!!
@bluewildflower12 That all depends on your diet, exercise, lifestyle after
the fast. If you binge & eat junk then you will gain the weight back. If
you don't exercise when your ready you might gain the weight back. It all
just depends if you change the habits you had which got you to the point of
needing to fast. Fasting is a quick way to get to a certain point but you
must change yourself to stay there.
MissLamentful! If you have a heart condition I advice you do this under
supervision, and maybe do a juice-fast rather than water? I recommend you
talk to someone who can guide you through. I've gone through two juice
fasts with these people detox-international(dot)com maybe they could help
you to, or at least give some sound advice before you start, so you stay
safe. Happy detoxing!! :-)
I started at 225 pouds at size 17 in jeans. I weighed 175 when I returned
from my trip. Sadly I now weigh 200. My husband is my work out partner now.
I tell you though, you can work out 30 minutes a day but the key is what
you put in your body. When it came to food, I only ate natural food.
Meaning nothing in a package and nothing processed. Thats how I lose so
much weight last year.
Hi, I wanted to say that you might have actually been reacting to eating
the tortilla more than the salt. With the amount of processing that wheat
goes through, a huge number of people have developed gluten sensitivities.
Same thing happened with me, and after I cut out eating gluten for a few
weeks, I had it again for a day and instantly put on 3 lbs, and I felt
spacey and horrible.
@sn9696 Yeah I realized on day 7 that I needed to be careful with my daily
activiy. Even walking up the stairs made me dizy. So with my job I realized
I couldnt do a 40 fast like I wanted! But it was ok, I made up for it by
eating only fruits and vegtables on the days I had to work and fasted on my
days off. I ended up lookin 30 pounds in a month so it wasnt a complete
failure :)
ur such an inspiration i start my first water fast 2morow not sure how long
it will last but i know it will help to get me on the right part
spiritually and hopefully it can help me to fight my emotional eating. i've
tried green smoothie fast which helped me lose some 10 lbs and gain so much
energy. i wondered if i can move to a juice fast after a water fast?
@sean5839 During the fast I felt so connected with the earth - the feelings
were truely amazing & I've stayed quite connected. I did however loose that
a bit towards the end as I was antsy & bored with resting all the time. If
I ever do a long term fast in the future it will only be for the spiritual
aspects of the fast as I want to develop that a bit more.
Mindy , I has been reading and watching videos about water fasting, and
many people say that they gain weight back, 8-10 pounds, other said that
they are more overweight than when they started, can you please let me know
about you experinence, what was the worst part for you and low energy and
the odor , the last one is pretty bad, people can smell it.
When I came back home I went back to my old eating habits and stopped
working out and over time I gained back my old weight in one year. To keep
the weight off we have to continue the work out otherwise its not going to
happen. I kicking my ass again into gear cus I want to get back to that
size I was when I came back to the states :)
@juldkr Well thank you so much for your kind words!! I really appreciate
you taking the time to share which definitley keeps me pushing on!! You are
going on an amazing adventure & I wish you happiness in every moment.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if you just want to vent.
When do you plan on starting your fast?
@mayamehr Hello!! Sure you will have ups and downs throughout the day so
take advantage of when you are feeling well. Also if you find your mind is
actually moving too quickly & your having a hard time focusing take time to
meditate & let go of everything. Don't force it but find ways to make it
work. Good luck to you!!
@RavishingBeyond Thank you so much for taking the time to send such
positivity! Stay focused and you can do anything. This is really just a
small mind game and the results are more than you could ever ask for. good
luck to you and I hope your journey is a lovely experience. Love & light!!
@FruitIslandGirl Sure thing!! You can email here on youtube, blog directly
to one of my videos, or check me out on facebook (link on my channel page)
- which ever you prefer!! Good luck & stay strong through the first couple
days - it WILL get easier!!
My Water Fasting Experience (3 weeks post fast/LFRV)
Day 8-21 Post fast!! THREE WEEKS LFRV!! April 22nd 2010 (Guam is a day ahead of the states) TOPICS: Routine RIPE FRUIT!! Exercise (or lack there of) Overt ...
@myroadhome I was definitley more acive than I was supposed to be. There
were quite a few days when I would drive to town and run errands, garden
for a couple hours, or just do housework. I would just make sure the rest
time I did have was as good as can be - quite & long relaxing in bed. If a
long term water fast would be too much try doing 3-7 days followed with a
week of juicing/fresh fruits/green smoothies - there are so many options
all with great benefits.
@trishht I drank senna leaf tea the night before I started my fast to help
clean my digestive system but no other teas/supplements after that. I think
during a fast herbal teas could be dangerous because they stimulate
particular organs when maybe your body is already in the process of healing
something else. I just wanted to do it naturally. I would say I can't
really notice any loose skin - since I was hydrated I think it all
rubberbanded back :)
If its the carbs your missing fruit is full of them - just eat enough
earlier in the day. The past two days without the overt fats have been
amazing. I am eating three large oranges for breakfast, couple kiwi an hour
later, 10 banana & 10 date smoothie for lunch, celery an hour before
dinner, and greens w/ tomato & cucumber for dinner. I think I might even
throw in a couple days of strictly fruit & see how that goes.
# Looks like you are doing GREAT! I think I might try cutting out the avo
and nuts for a week or so as well - good idea. Its tough when that is what
I supplement for the carbs. Perhaps I will try for a few days and take it
from there. I can't wait to do a WF too. I am just so busy I dont know how
I will find the time to be at home for so long. Were you very active will
on the WF? Thanks for the update.
@Exzentrisch1883 Yes this is very normal. Sleep especially in the first
week is hard. All you can do is try and don't give up! Lay down, relax your
whole body, and just clear your mind, deep slow breathes - its really hard
but try not to get back up - its very tempting! The last thing you want to
do is get frustrated.
Just wanted to let you know, I'm still tuning in... And I loved what you
said about being able to just get up and do... rather than thinking about
what you have to do and when are you gonna do it. I guess that's a trait of
a healthy person.... Hmmm Never thought of it that way. -Billie
Girl you have a determination give me some too.I tried the water fast at
least 4 times and would break it by evening ;-).BUt this time I promise
myself to make it no matter what.Did you take any herbal teas/supplements
while water fasting.Did you get any loose skin
@roseshields2010 So far so good! I am at the exact weight this morning that
I ended my fast on and I STILL don't have a decent exercise plan down :(
This week I really need to stick to a schedule!! I am doing my one month
post fast video later today!
i'm just going to say it, i love your videos. Theyve helped me on my water
fasting SOOO much. before i felt so self righteous like "pfft i can do this
without doing that" I started raw eating 4 weeks ago, then started a juice
fast and slowly transitioned into a water fast and MAN that has helped just
like you said. Its amazing how much different i feel. You are awesome and i
appreciate these so much. =] oh and btw, your before and afters are
AMAZING. i also have lots of questions about LFRV.
In laymans terms, ketosis is when your brain uses ketones from your fat
rather than glucose from muscle tissue to fuel your body which means during
a fast/ketosis you will lose mostly fat and not muscle. If you're gonna
fast always make sure you prepare for it the day or two before. If you
binge or have a big meal the day before, it'll be extra hard since the
sugar and stuff will still be in the system and you crave it. Just take
each day as it comes, don't obsess over it. Good luck.
Thank You for this informative video. The most I water fasted was only
three days. This video has motivated me to do a water fast for at least
five days. I love water fasting. It's one of the best things that has
happened to me, and when I water fast I get a lot of inner peace and that's
the best feeling. When I water fast I feel like I am on my vacation, my
stress level would minimize and I am a lot more in control of my emotions.
I can't stress more how much I love water fasting.
If I wanted to have almond milk with coffee granules in it during a water
fast, would that slow down the weight loss? Or almond milk with cinnamon?
Doesn't cinnamon make metabolism faster? And you wouldn't really be eating?
Or just plain almond milk? Is it ok Will you lose the same amount of weight
or will it slow the weight loss down? Please reply ASAP!!
a month ago i weighed 295, my heaviest weight im 5'6. This past month i
worked very hard i went to the gym everyday i stopped over eating and was
on a fruit and vegetable diet. Sometimes grains when i felt very weak. I
lost almost 30 pounds. At the moment I weigh about 265. Im going on a 40
day Water fast starting today. I know I can do it
@ladydipset88 I got it early and then it was gone for quite awhile. I
actually did a video on it - check out my channel page if interested. But
yeah its very common for it to go away for a bit. You are healing your body
and doing a reset so the reproductive system is not exempt from this. Hope
this helps!!
@MarijuanaGood4U No I don't have a job that I "go" to. I was taking online
classes and doing volunteer work during the fast. I just cut out the
volunteer work. If you find it an issue then just try a juice fast - many
people have great results with that.
@ryan62468 Thank you so much Ryan for all your lovely comments :D What a
great heart you have for going out of your way to brighten someone's day.
Much love to you & please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck
on your journey
Is it alright to incorporate green tea without sugar with just water for a
30 day fast? I want to try going a week but I'll be more than happy to do
longer if I can last that long :) thanks for the uploads, they helped alot
@emopunkrockstar00 Can you just get oranges and suck the juice out? Sunny D
isn't really that great and full of sugar. You don't want white sugar to be
one of the first things you consume - its like a drug.
@kmaven04 Thank you so much for your kind words!! So glad this is working
for you and what an amazing journey you are on!! YAY!! Please let me know
if you have any questions at all!! Hope you are well!
I'm thinking about doing a water fast. I'm on day 9 of 10 of The Master
Cleanse Diet, so thanks for making this video. It's good to know this and
I'm sure the links will come in handy. Thanks again.
@sweetp888t oh...so do u have a boyfriend? you're cute, i'm cute, you're
28, i'm 27. let's put this fasting aside and go have dinner :) what do u
say? btw i won't take no for an answer
Hi I'm a 15 year old boy and I weigh around 150 - 155 lbs and I am 5 ft 2
and was wondering can i lose 20 lbs in a week plz message me back or email
me at [email protected]
@Miickey1436 If you must have something go with lemon in your water. Green
tea usually has caffiene and even in very small amounts can do damage while
fasting.
Good video. not sure about the OJ to break the fast though, people say it
has too much sugar and that it spikes your insulin levels. seems to make
sense
@MarijuanaGood4U Thanks for the offer but I'm married...will you take that
for an answer?
My 2nd Water Fasting Experience - Breaking the fast & results!!!
//www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/103574-clean-fresh-raw-challenge-for-july My 2nd Water Fast - Day 1 Post Fast June 26th 2010 (Guam is a day ahead ...
I know I am not seeing this until years after this video has been made.
But, I just realized that you had finished your previous water fast at
142lbs, and now you have lost 9 pounds with this water fast and now are
138lbs which means that you gained. I am not judging you by any means, but
rather I was wondering why you may think this weight loss came about? I am
currently on a 16 day water fast and am looking to fully dive into a Fully
Raw Vegan Lifestyle, but I want to be sure to keep the weight off. With
that being said, do you have any advice on how to keep the weight off.. or
what you may have ate or done that may have caused you to have that weight
gain prior to the 2nd fasting experience?
Thank-you.
@ryan62468 I guess sack isn't very accurate but sounds a lot nicer than
what it is :) Its more like a film. Anyway it is a bit unpleasant
&definitely not something I look forward to but afterward the world is good
& a nap is in order. The first fast when I started to get "the feeling"
(like big rain clouds rushing past your face) I thought something was
wrong. I always sit on the toilet when I don't feel good & low & behold
that's what it was :D The second fast I had the same feeling - weird.
@pirucreek I would think a weekly 3 day fast could end up messing with the
metabolism. I say wait at least a month maybe even two. At least wait until
you are feeling totally normal and working out regularly - you need to feel
that. If I were you I wouldn't be so concerned about the walking. For what
you've said you need to heal quite a bit - take it easy & allow that
especially in the beginning. Later in the fast you might get days where you
feel invinsible - then get a lot of walking in.
I am still on the fast, it has been 72 hours on the fast as I started. I
get a little dizzy now and then but it passes. I have no hunger desire,
which is rather strange. 261. So Tomorrow I might hit 260. I am just taking
1 day at a time. I noticed some people do 60 day fasts but the one guy on
youtube nobrackets looked sick around day 40 and said he was vomiting for
10 days. However, my game plan is to take it day by day.
@pirucreek Yes one day at a time & it some like vomiting happens then don't
try to be some "hero" - your body isn't happy then break it and move on.
Keep up the great work!!!!! For the dizziness - everytime you get up and
are dizzy drink a glass of water. Next time get up a little slower. Glad
the cravings (hunger is real - you just had a mental want) are gone - feels
liberating - right!?!?!!?
What I like to know is if I stop this water fast after say 8 days, how long
do I have to wait til a can start another 8-10 day fast. Some person on
google said they do a 3 day fast every weekend. I only walked 4500 steps
yesterday, but will try to get my 6000 in today. It is nice to know I can
travel, and save money by not buying any food.
@Sophiphrenia WATERMELON!!! Or any melon really but watermelon is the
easiest to get ripe. Get some melons and munch on them for a couple days
and then add in banana milk (couple bananas blended with water until fluid
consistency). Good luck on 40 days!!! let me know if you have any other
questions!!
@kalliski1 I'm sorry I missed your question until now. I would not
recommend it. Milk forms mucus in your body and we are not meant to drink
milk into adulthood and especially from another animal. Fruit juice sounds
much tastier!!!
thats sounds great im about to break a fast in the next two days but im
concerned about the sugar in the fruits especially the water melon isnt
that alot of sugar idk im new to this thats why i ask?
@Journey4AHealthierMe No not at all. Fruit Sugar doesn't affect your body
the way regular sugar does. Watermelon is the most perfect food to use to
break a fast. Don't be worried about fruit sugar.
Hi there!! I'm fasting right now, but I have a question. I am allergic to
citrus fruits, ESPECIALLY oranges. I was wondering how you think I shouls
break my fast. I'm doing it for 40 days :)
@pirucreek skinbrushing, stretching, sunbathing, brisk short :) walk,
rebounding, hot/cold shower therapy, massage, probably other I just can't
recall.
Thank you sweet. Yes, i been having regular bowel movements. Last one I had
was 5 days ago. I did a salt water flush only one time in the first week
and that was it because I read on curezone that it's not necessary, your
body will flush itself out. That is so true. But I haven't been taking any
vitamins, just water since day one nothing else. I feel great, so much
energy, I do go outside and walk twice a day, but I don't overexert myself.
I keep myself active in the house(cleaning, cooking, etc
@sweetp888t Ok, I just broke my fast today. I have been peeing clear the
last two days since I up'd my water intake. I felt what it seemed like true
hunger yesterday. Overwhelming stomach craving, numbness in mouth and
throat. So just to make sure I waited one more day. Woke up with the same
symptons so I didn't want to prolong the fast.. I broke it with fresh
orange juice diluted with water. Never knew orange juice can get better
lol. Thank you for all your advice :). Now must stay on the path.
i think its great you have such dedication but anorexia is such a serious
issue and encouraging people to lose wait or become vegan i dont really
agree with. my gf has anorexia and thankfully she is on the mend. but she
started off also reading a book about it, then changed her diet became a
vegitarian, then a vegan then way to thin. i completely disagree that it
should be taught in school because this only encourages weight loss.
athletes and sports personal cannot become elite on a raw vegan
Thanks for this video- I was in desperate need for it! I was a low-fat raw
vegan for half a year and it was amazing: I had abundant energy, I ate as
much as I wanted and didn't worry about weight (which is a concerning issue
for a college female), my skin was great/ acne finally went away, etc. But
I stopped and started eating 'regular' foods and all the horrid things came
back and it only pushed me further from raw veganism, prompting binges,
lots of alcohol, big sweet tooth, etc. So I decided
@sweetp888t Thank you for your prayers. Yes, I will stay clear of the
alcohol on the 21. I'm going to cook for them but that is all. Mingle for a
few, then go home. No need to jeopardize all the hard work I accomplished
just for one night. Today I drank 1 1/2 gallon of water, tried to finish 2
but my stomach felt full. My urine did clear up a bit, but not as clear as
It should be. Will continue on this life changing and spiritual journey.
You inspire me to keep going and live a healthier life.
Hi sweetp. Your videos are so inspirational. I'm on day 37 of a 40 day
water fast.. This is my first time ever fasting. Surprisingly, it wasn't as
bad as I expected. All about will power. Breaking it soon, can't wait. I
always ate meat and processed foods and it's going to be hard for me to
stay on the green path after I break my fast. But hearing you're positive
msg is going to help me stay on the healthy path. All the best for you on
your second fast. I plan on fasting twice a yr from now on
@pirucreek Hello there!!! So good to hear from you! Glad to hear you stuck
with it for that long - that's a huge accomplishment & the holidays do make
it so hard to stick with anything!! I've been thinking of doing a fast but
I think I will be waiting until spring time. It is dry season here so I'm
loving the outdoor activities right now & resting doesn't sound like fun. I
will keep you posted!! I'm also working on something a bit bigger & you
will be one of the first to know if it happens!
@pirucreek Still not feeling 100%?!? Are you drinking enough of water? You
should still be drinking as much water as when you were fasting -
especially if you reintroduced COFFEE!! Look into hazelnut milk as a
replacement for that. Make sure your getting enough calories as well - you
don't want to starve yourself because youu body is depending on food for
energy now not your stores. And just to clarify its oil pulling :D don't
want anyone freaking out around here!! What else are you eating?
@ryan62468 Yeah it all depends on what diet you want to do and how pure you
want to be. This world is full of junk and not just in the food. You really
can't ever be absolutely perfect so if every now and again you want to have
some food which don't normally fall into your diet - ENJOY them!! Like make
sure you savor them and don't feel bad about it. Studies have shown that
the way you feel about your food actually affects how your body receives it
- weird but makes sense. Just don't binge!
@sweetp888t I feel pretty good overall Body, mind, energy. Soph I read your
message. I took a 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt yesterday along with 2
flintstone vitamin pills, and stomach pains seem to have gone away. They
were going away anyways. Was going to buy a treadmill since I was falling
short of my steps, however walking in place with a pedometer (omron usb
walmart.com $30 I give 5 stars I connected it to my key chain) is a free
alternative and does not waste space. I'll give an update ltr.
I was reading on the 30 bananas site, where a member had a rash on her
face. I tried to sign up, but they wouldn't let me unless I dedicated
myself to 811. She said she ate a lot of mangoes. I wanted to respond, be
careful of the skin of a mango it contains urushoil, the same chemical in
poison oak.sumac, if sensitive it could send you to the hospital and give
you rashes like it did me. Thanks for pressing 811, but I worry that not
eating fish/meat is bad for the skin and life expectancy.
@pirucreek I gained weight but I lost inches during that time. A lot of
diets do seem very convincing but look at the food you were drawn to - was
it not fruit? That's because its the most perfect food for our bodies. Give
a baby an apple and a bunny...what do you think it will play with & what
will it want to eat? If you eat a diet with 30% fat then you will soon
enough be made of 30% fat. Have fun on your trips!! And good luck with your
fasts - I might do banana island here in a little.
Yea, I weighed 310 lbs when i started fasting. I was a smoker, drinker,
smoked weed and went cold turkey to put my full focus and energy for the
fast. And the fast weened me off these addictions. Im free from them and
never been happier. But I'm nervous, cuz I have to go to a bday party on
Aug 21 and there is going to be liquor. Plus, i will be going through the
recovery process of breaking the fast. Only have one week to recover before
the party. Is it safe to have a drink or too soon?
Got back from trip and sad that I am at 259. I think I gained back water
weight. The game plan is to eat 80% fruit the next couple weeks. I also
want to add in some weight training. I was light headed the 5th and 6th, so
I was not 100% before. Bought a 5 lb sack of tree ripened oranges from Pala
and they are really good. GL on banana island. I am going to eat a variety
of fruits for awhile, which will be vast improvement. Like to C how your BI
works I could only find one Utube vid on it
Wow, you are such an inspiration. Right now I am on Day 2 (of 40) of my
water fast, and I am actually doing pretty well. The detox symptoms are
little to none. Maybe because I've been a vegetarian for 5 years. Although,
I have gained weight due to a lot of junk, sugary candy and donuts, etc.. I
actually planned on going vegan even before I found the fasting. In your
opinion, is just vegan much worse than raw vegan? Also, I've read that
green tea is good while fasting. What's ur opinion?
258 morning. I don't think I was drinking enough water, just drank a liter
and feel good. I am really not in that bad of shape, just wanted to write
something. I had oranges, garlic, worst watermelon I have eaten white-pink
but fresh, taste like cucumber, 5 nectarines, 1 pkg of mushrooms in olive
oil cooked. Multi-grain chips with trader joes salsa. 1 slice of pastrami.
Banana. It could be the garlic (or coffee) said it was product of China and
I usually never eat garlic. Thanks again.
I feel normal. For some reason I am eating about 1500 calories/day, but I
presently weigh 253. I think I need 3000 to maintain my weight. Yes, I want
to do another fast, but I want to wait about 1 month. I am going on a trip
for 4 days tomorrow then the week after that jury duty. Then I want to go
to the Sierras. Next time you might invite people that don't post videos to
post updates in the chat box. I have watched about 100 fasting videos. I
will keep my eyes out to see when you are
@Sophiphrenia As far as teas & stuff such as this they can overstimulate
certain organs which may take away from what the body is trying to do at
that moment so I say go clean. Vegan is definitely better than many diets
however it can be done incorretly as well - relying on crappy carbs & soy
would be one way to jack it up. Just make sure 51% of your food is raw so
you can counteract the cooked. Huge smoothie for breakfast & huge salad for
lunch & then your vegan cooked for dinner :)
I would like to do 811, not because it is the normal diet of man, it should
be the future diet of man. I think if you read the "Man the Hunter" book
and cave paintings we are omnivores. But if I could be assured that I am
not hurting my longevity eating nuts and fruit, I would do so. Instead of
amber waves of grain and corn, I would like to see them replaced with fruit
and nut trees. Not dependent on farmers (grains) or killing animals.
Bushman main staple was morongo nuts, allowing
Thanks for the video. I will try to eliminate all oil-wheat-flour from my
diet. I love fruit and could easily become a fruitarian with some nuts and
veggies. I live in Los Angeles and it is really heard to avoid all the
places to eat. I love pizza. So I was thinking maybe 90% eat right and 10%
eat bad. My weight had stabilized and dropped 5 lbs with all the walking
before the fast. Day 5 (or 6 not sure myself), 257.5 lbs, no problems went
for 6000 steps today and was feeling great.
I will keep reading your stuff at 30bananas and the other sites
(rawfoodexplained) as a non-member. I had a wild Berry smoothie at
McDonalds today, was wondering what you think of this beast. GL
mariamiii17, 4 day water fast is still great, the 7 lbs was probably water.
If you are going to break try 1/2 orange juice, 1/2 water and fruit. Last
couple days I am near 100% but a little weak. Anyways thanks for this
wonderful series, and if I have problems I will surely post. Thank you.
Forgot to answer one of your questions. I will definitely be breaking
morning July 1, 2, or 3. Presently Day 7 253.5 June 30. I like water
fasting might do it again for 5 days in a month thank you for all your
help. Walked in another supermarket today, bought a watermelon. Best thing
in store was a pineapple. If I can avoid fast foods, why can't I in a week.
I think I just like getting out. What raw greens do you like the best?
Other than fruit, greens, and nuts, what can you eat?
@MissAshface I eat plenty of carbs & sugary food....FRUIT!! The weight gain
was mostly due to salt I'm sure. When you aren't consuming excess salt &
drinking plenty of water you carry no water weight - it just flushes your
system and doesn't stick around. If you add in salt then you hold onto it.
My weight may have evened out without going right back on LFRV...don't know
but don't want to find out. I love the way I eat & wouldn't have it any
other way. Good luck with your fast!!
Thank you for responding. Well I did another 10 day fast starting December
31st at midnight I figured out how to start. Buy a case of water and put it
abut 6 1 liter bottles around places you sit thus water is always near you.
I am going to do another 10 day fast in February. I want to fast down to
200. There are more fasters now. There were about 4 solid fasters that made
youtube videos everyday which makes it fun and gives support. I looking
forward to see what you are up to.
@Abyssalgates NO. Has it always been like that? Before & during the fast?
You are definitely not drinking enough water or you have something
seriously wrong. How much are you drinking & how much do you weigh? Brown
pee is never ok - is it brown or just dark dark yellow? Seriously drink
water constantly until you see a change & then drink until it becomes
clear. If there is no change get checked out. big congrats on 37days!!
forward to 40 as long as the pee issue is worked out!!
I think this might be my last post until Sept 22, when you do your next
seasonal water fast. I lost my pedometer today, and I am happy about it. I
was getting too obsessed with getting my steps in. 10 minute of walking is
1000 steps anyways. Thanks for posting on 811 and I will be heading towards
it. It is not hard I love fruits, nuts, dried fruits - greens are hard to
eat. I think you should look into running a fasting clinic as a possible
career. I am 260 - 45 years- Male.
My 2nd Water Fasting Experience - Day 3!
My 2nd Water Fast - Day 3 June 23nd 2010 (Guam is a day ahead of the states) TOPICS: Emotions Fasters!!! Day 3 Ketosis No detox symptoms Excited!!!! Water ...
@morejuana Wow MoreJuana - congrats!! 811 is short for The 80/10/10 Diet
which is a lifestyle created by Dr. Doug Graham and is a more specific
approach to low fat raw vegan. Usually when someone says 811, 80-10-10, low
fat raw vegan (LFRV) they are talking about the same thing. Although Dr.
Graham follow a natural hygiene approach so I guess in all reality you
could be LFRV and eat things like hot peppers, onions, garlic, vinegar,
oils which is not part of 811 or natural hygiene.
I am on my 4th day of water fasting, and i was really feeling down, having
killer cravings and wanting to break my fast. I was terribly emotional and
getting irritated with the fasting, after watching all of your videos, i
cannot tell you how much you have helped me feel like i can continue. I am
going to keep going and power through all of the bad feelings. thanks so
much and i will let you know how it goes! thanks for your videos and
fasting advice. =] - kristi gaskin!
@sweetp888t Great, well I'll get started on that after my fast. On the last
day of my fast, I'll do juicing, then eat leafy veggies. I'll read up more
on the 811 and the LFRV, I don't eat things with vinegar, but I love hot
peppers, onions, and garlic! I don't use any perfumes or lotions (other
than oil and shea butter) on my skin. Gave up those things in 2008 when I
first was inspired by my fiance to fast. I feel so much better now, since
I've changed my life!
@PDWhiteGirl No I don't not during fasting or when I'm not, I've read that
herbal teas over stimulate certain organs and while fasting your body is
doing what needs to be done & if you add something like that in it has to
leave its current task & deal with this irritation you introduced. The body
is very intelligent & self healing so I would rather let it do what needs
to be done.
It would be nice to have links to the other water fast vlogs. I am trying
it, but don't post my nick, because I like to cheat on my fast and will
probably fail in 3 hours. I am also doing 6000 steps a day.
lol! Today is day 3 of my water fast too!!!!!! I had 2 days of a bit of
veggie juice to get me started- so really I believe I'm on day 5 :) It
helps me to feel like I'm progressing
