+Joshua Breyfogle Hah I have so much stuff to upload. We just got back from a trip to California, just have to find a few days to sit down and edit it all. Richard is mostly an olde english bulldog, he's just a bit taller than most of his brothers haha. I'll get some more bad photo tips in the works later this year. We always have lots haha

It can harm the circuitry in the lens and possibly in the body. I learned the hard way. It destroyed the VR in my 70-200 (and cost me $600). I always power of before switching lenses now!

+Jason Furda Why? It has absolutely no impact, negative or otherwise on the lens or camera. Unless you had it in mirror lock up of course and the sensor was fully exposed lol.
