You have to tighten the knot REALLY tight, make more than one knot if necessary. I always make the knot, then not just hold the ends, but the whole piece of cord and pull/stretch as tight as I can. Test the knot before cutting off the excess cord so you can retie if necessary. You can also try securing the knot with a little bit of adhesive.

I really enjoyed this video! I might have to try this method! i find it pretty efficient to tie 2-3 knots to finish the ends and then feed the tail ends through the finishing end. it works really well!

I just tried making these. The stretchy cord will not hold a knot. I just lost a bunch of beads because the knots will not hold. Please tell me hold you knotted yours.

I have transparent stretch cord .8mm .Will this hold up / be strong enough to use for the barefoot sandals?
