Canon 600D / T3i - Paris & Clermont Ferrand Trip 2012 - EF 50mm f/1.8 II - 24fps - HD
Like my facebook page for regular updates - //on.fb.me/PxdQ8w I spent last week (30th January to 3rd February) in France with my film studies group to ...
Yea I just hold the camera out in front of me, and stretch the strap out,
sort of adds some points of stabilisation, which as soon in this video work
okay (When I didnt use the strap, the footage was just unusable, I was
shooting with a 50mm lens)
It depends really, if I am shooting a short film and I have time to set up
my shoulder rig, then I will use a stabilizer device, however when shooting
'holiday' footage like this, I will just use my DSLR strap as a stabilizer
point
Nice video ! Can you tell me what video options you used (I mean iso,
lighting, and quality), I have got a 600D, too and at the moment I am
figuring out how to record high quality (cinema like) video, thanks ;)
Do you prefer handheld or with a stabilizing device? I think you did an
excellent job of keeping your hands as steady as you could. I think that
handheld is effective for trips.

Metro is going Paperless!
Metro has begun its efforts to eliminate paper farecards, our legacy fare payment method used since Metrorail opened in 1976. Once complete, customers using ...
+TC Fenstermaker They lowered it two years ago, I heard they are starting to phase out the paper farecard machines in stations and retrofiring them to dispense SmartTrip cards, I think it will just be a $2 surcharge plus the fare when its all done.. The other thing is you can use them on the Baltimore Metro and Light Rail, the latter is on an honor system, if the fare checker catches you without one on board, you get fined 50 to 500 dollars, when they ask you and give it out, they deducted it or validate if its a day pass. Its basically the same thing as the MTA Charm Card.
+rockvilleraven If it's only $2 now (been a while since I bought mine), then it makes economic sense for people to use it over paper right now, since paper is $1/extra a trip. It would pay for itself just riding into the city and back out. And sadly $8 will probably just about pay for the fare. I was thinking back when it was $5 for the card with a $20 initial balance.
+TC Fenstermaker It's $2, but right now you still have to pay $10, $2 for card and $8 for the fare. You can also use it on the MTA Light Rail , Bus and Metro line in Baltimore, since they let you use the Charm Card down here, its the same thing.
+TC Fenstermaker Most cities charge you when you get a rechargeable card anyways. In Paris it's 20 Euros, I believe, for their RFID card.

In my opinion all these career politicians are in on the take, both
Democrat and Republican. They tell us what we want to hear then do whatever
they can to enrich themselves. They could give a rats ass about anything
else.
Good catch Spiro ...now we can blame then VP Bush from the Reagan
Administration for arms dealing to terrorists...lets dust him off and
convict him, so he can rot and die in a prison cell before going to hell.
