#houstonweddingphotographers As a Houston Wedding Photographer, I had the
privilege of photographing Samara and Edwin’s wedding ceremony at Christ
Character Church in Fresno, Texas and their wedding reception at Joyplace
Banquet Hall in Houston, Texas on July 2, 2011.
In the early afternoon of the couple's big day, I began at the venue by
photographing the bride and bridesmaids' hair and makeup being done by two
of the bride's closest female friends. This Houston Wedding Photographer
was also able to capture a few shots of the bridesmaids helping the bride
into her wedding dress. Once the bride was in her wedding dress, her mother
helped her put on her wedding veil.
This Houston Wedding Photographer then captured a few images of the pinning
of the boutonnieres and corsages on the parents, grandparents, groom, and
groomsmen.
At around 4:00 in the afternoon, the wedding ceremony began with the
entrance from behind the altar of the groom and the officiant.
Then the wedding processional began with the seating of the couples'
grandparents, the groom's mother and father, and the bride's mother, all
escorted by the ushers. Both of the couple's mothers lit the outside
candles of the unity candle arrangement.
Afterwards, each bridesmaid walked up the aisle, escorted by a groomsman.
Then the ring bearer entered, followed by the flower girl.
After the congregation rose for the bride’s entrance, the groom finally got
to see his beautiful bride in her wedding dress for the first time, walking
up the aisle, escorted by her father.
After the bride and groom exchanged vows and placed rings on each other’s
fingers, the couple lit the unity candle. They then kissed and walked down
the aisle together as husband and wife.
After all of their family and friends congratulated the new couple, this
Houston Wedding Photographer then took some formal pictures of the couples’
families, the bridal party and, of course, the bride and groom by
themselves.
After formal pictures, everyone headed over to the reception, which was
held at Joyplace Banquet Hall in Houston.
The reception began with introductions. Once the couple's parents were
introduced, the DJ then introduced the bridesmaids and groomsmen, which was
followed by the entrance of the bride and groom. Once introduced, the new
couple had their first dance as husband and wife. Before everyone ate
dinner, a minister friend of the couple gave a pre-dinner prayer.
After dinner, the best man and the maid of honor each toasted the new
couple. Immediately after the toasts, the bride and groom thanked their
wedding guests for attending.
The couple then cut both the bride's wedding cake and the groom's wedding
cake and fed each other from each wedding cake.
This was followed by the father-bride dance and the mother-groom dance in
which this Houston Wedding Photographer captured some special moments of
the bride dancing with her father and the groom dancing with his mother.
The bride and groom then led their guests onto the dance floor as the DJ
played the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble line dance, the Electric Slide and a
few other line dances.
After a few hours of an open dance floor, the bride threw her bouquet. And
after the groom removed the garter from the bride's leg, he threw the
garter. The single guy who caught the garter then placed the garter on the
leg of the single girl who caught the bouquet.
As they left their reception, the bride and groom were given a sparkler
grand exit by their wedding guests.
Thanks again, Samara and Edwin, for allowing this Houston Wedding
Photographer to photograph images of your special day!
