The prison system is so outdated it's not even funny. What is the point of keeping someone in prison for their entire life if you have no intention to rehabilitate them and reintroduce them to society as productive and functioning individuals? There's no doubt that the crime he committed was horrible, but at what point does it become excessive to keep them alive for the only purpose of leaving them in a cage? For one it's costing tax payers a large sum of money to keep these prisoners in jail, secondly there's absolutely no good outcome of keeping them in there. Their contempt for society will only grow the longer they're in there, you're removing any ambitions the person may have aspired to, and you're bogging down the economy in the process. There needs to be some serious change happening with our correctional system. We should be looking at Norway's system and take the aspects of it that are making it so successful.

Ummmmm, it is called PUNISHMENT! That is what happens when you unmercifully butcher two innocent elderly women in their home. Society steps in and punishes the individual(s) responsible for THEIR heinous actions. Ronny didn't go to high school, the prom, drive a car, get married, have children,..... But the fault is entirely his and his alone. Someone made a comment that he never made love to a woman. Well, I can say if that is true the only thing Ronny boy ever stuck into a woman's body is a knife. He did it multiple times to two women who begged him for mercy. I'm afraid the next stop for Ronnie boy after prison is eternity.
