I lost a close friend because he started fancying me while I was in the process of courting one of our mutual friend but he didn't know at the time. I didn't tell him because we were just at the "flirting with each other" & transitioning from friends to more than friends stage. He still never said anything, when I told him about our mutual friend that we were dating he just got so depressed. So yeah, guys should NEVER take too long. The moment you realise you like someone, let them know somehow.

I absolutely love your honesty! A LOT of guys could learn from this...I've had a few guys (like 5 or 6) confess their undying love to me, all because no girl had ever bothered to talk to them or be nice to them before. Luckily one of them is now one of my best friends, but a few got their hearts broken when I had to tell them I wasn't into them. I wasn't trying to be evil - some guys just mistake genuine kindness for romantic interest.

@XPrincess30 If you can handle being just friends with those feelings, sure. But Ive been there so many times and you at least need some time to move on before you can reastablish the relationship. Trying to stay friends when you still have feelings for the guy and you know he's is not intrested will probably only hurt you more at the time.

I hope I don't sound creepy but I hope I can find a guy who has your personality where I live. You and Tanya always make me feel so happy and positive :) And I congratulate you on not drinking. I also don't drink for various reasons and it is hard when people give you weird looks when you refuse a drink. Anyway, you're awesome! :)

Some guys (including myself) would rather get to know them and from there up slowly reveal your feelings to them. The problem is that the girl can view you only as a friend, if the girl is willing to lose that guy as a friend and break his heart at the same time...you are a cruel person Friendzone isn't all that entertaining...
