Peter Pan is not played by a woman because of weight. They're played by woman because when JM Barrie's production first opened in England, child actors weren't allowed to work after 7 PM so it was cast as a woman. They continued the tradition because of the original show, but some shows do cast a male.

I've played Peter Pan twice before and can honestly say: this performance sucks!!! I've never flown before while playing Peter but as an experienced actor: ALWAYS SMILE NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE DAMN HARNESSES HURT!!!!! That is all...

the stange hands did a great job at fastening the harnesses... one of the peter pan productions i saw had the stage hands walk on stage and fasten the harnesses.. the effects were done very well..

This play brings back wonderful memories, I remember when I was younger I was Michael in a Peter Pan production, the flying was the most fun part!

Peter Pan is/has been traditionally played by girls because females (especially young/smaller types) are usually lighter than males

I love peters costume. I think that is even beter than Cathy Rigby. I also do like the sets. Every thing is great.
