+Anthony Perez the thermometer that we used fit a 9/32 bit but as long as you get close you'll be fine. The lock nut covers a good bit of space.

Do you use the dome thermometer to gauge the BBQ temperature only or do you have another probe in there somewhere?

+CRKhead Just to gauge the meat temp. I just use the thermo on the lid for smoker temp. I've found it to be accurate when compared to a digital.

tip: take a paper towel and put a small amount of vegetable oil on it. Crumple it up and let the oil spread. I use this to get my coals lit rather than the paper from the bag or newspapers, etc. you will find this method effective, and doesnt make anywhere near the mess of paper/news paper.

Einen ganzen Liter Sojasoße finde ich ziemlich heftig, auch wenn das bei dir wirklich wahnsinnig viele Chicken Wings waren. Das hätte man doch sicherlich auch sparsamer mehrmals einpinseln können

Hätte man bestimmt. Ich habe es einmal ausprobiert. Von der Sauce wird nur entsprechend viel angenommen, wenn die Flügel darin baden:-). Das ist zumindest meine Erfahrung. Es wird nicht zu salzig.
