This is a very important video. Thank you so much for posting it. I grew up in Ottawa, Canada where it was much more accepted. I when I moved out to BC, to find a work as an actor, I met people who still old these ignorant beliefs. While I am straight, 75% of my friends fall into the GLBTTQQ catagory. It hurts me, that people would ever want to hurt them. As someone who is a sexual health educator, this kind of hate needs to stop. Thanks for making my wonderful friends feel accepted.

@Batistta56 The terms are different as far as their meaning within the gay community. Gay usually just encompasses gay men and lesbians (if they identify as gay). Queer is usually considered to also include bi, trans, intersex etc... people. Some gay people (especially older) don't like the term queer because it has traditionally been a slur. Also many who identify as "queer" believe they should subvert traditional views of sexuality and gender. It's really6 about self identification.

Hey, Andrew Keenen-Bolger!! Well, I'm totally supportive, since I know someone who's incrediblly nice that isn't straight. I think it's REALLY stupid how people judge people based on that. CAN'T WE ALL BE EFFING FRIENDS!??! Who really cares? I feel terrible because I know how nice these people are. TTYL! P.S. I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! @JoeArpalo2012 Get over it? When so many kids are committing suicide because they dont understand there are other people like them out there? Get over it? When the gay community is consantly bashed and insulted for fun on a daily basis? I know this is going to sound ignorant, and I'm sorry for that, but I'm curious about the label of 'queer' instead of saying 'gay' or 'lesbian'...is there a difference? I was raised in a really small town where no body talked about LGTBQ issues, so I'm still learning and gathering information so I can be the best ally I can be.

this is the best of these videos i've seen...i love all the truth that gets spoken...i love all the different types of people and Sherry and Catherine, I truly appreciate your part in this video...it is nice to see that same sex relationships can last for 33 years! This vid made me cry. I have been in a school who has always had issues with LGBT, and this year, we finally got a GSA, I have stood up for the Straight Section of the school, and I lost friends because of it, but i also gained some one my best friends i have ever had it my life. It Gets better. I promise.

@SoMuchbetter2492 we did that show at my high school in Australia, and teachers petitioned us not to put it on, but we did and I think we got through to a few people which was really refreshing

I don't understand why they don't just say that it's ok to be gay in school... I didn't even know being gay existed when I was a child and was therefore quite confused.

P.S. In Canada, it's called the GLBTTQQ. It stands for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Two-Sprited, Transgendered, Queer and Questioning.
