Can anyone out there help us figure out what the solution to this issue is? The radio sound goes on and off on and off and the eventually off. The dealer told us to ...
There's actually a YouTube video with a quick fix. It takes around 2-5
minutes.
" Range Rover Bluetooth Module Bypass. "
Incredibly, the bluetooth box controls the stereo and CD player AND 4×4
info screen and a bunch of other shit. When it goes bad it makes the stereo
and CD player go off and on and off and on, you may also see a message on
the LCD display directly under your gauges (speedometer/RPM) that says "A/V
OFF".
This fix also seemed to solve my shitty radio reception.
You won't be able to bluetooth your phone after the fix but hey, that's
what an ear piece is for.
Total cost of this repair? FREE !!!
Total cost of a new unit ? $500-$2500
I'll copy/paste the link in another comment.
Hey just went through the same thing. Its your blurtooth module that is on
top of the dvd player in the rear drivers quarter panel. The Nokia unit. I
fixed mine by bypassing the unit entirely using a small stir straw and
joining the two infared lines.. Pointing them at each other. The straw
helps the beams to align with each other. Hope that makes cents...you can
do this with each piece of equipment until you bypass the proble one.
Most oem speakers if abused, will start shorting out after 7 years from
when the car was first sold, give or take. If only one speaker starts
shorting out by a voice coil hitting the cylinder inside the speaker, all
of the speakers will stop playing until the one speaker cools down and
starts playing again. Eventually, a bad coil will not retract and will
never ever play again until you replace all of your speakers.
Your sunroof water drain possibly got your Bluetooth module or amplifier /
tuner wet.. I realize after going through a high powered automated car wash
that the rear compartment where the location of the amplifier, Bluetooth
module and navigation unit was wet... Thank God for eBay I replace the
Bluetooth module and now I keep a towel back there to absorb any moisture
while riding through a high power car wash

Thank you very much for your video, it helped me fix a board on my $1200 DJ
mixer. Repair was my only option since the manufacture didn't sell this
board.
