+Kinson Lau Weght makes very little difference at high speed, only power and aerodynamics. The teslas motors prob produce less power at high speed to stop overheating
So what? What point do u wanna slow me?Even BMW M4 just only got 500 horsepower but it's only weight 1500kg ,but the Tesla model s weight 2170kg~That's how M4 won
The level of intelligence shown on these comments is embarrassing. Tesla
P85D can carry 7 passengers or 50 inch TV and a Bike as well as 5
Passengers. Try that with a Lamborghini other thing is that Tesla is not
designed to plow power above 60 mph. Tesla is all about getting off the
line faster and it does especially the P90D hitting 0-60 in 2.6 seconds and
100 in 7.2 seconds. Other thing comparing it to a 550,000 dollar car kinda
answer the point about the Model S P90D. The other thing is about battery
charge I used own a performance car and when I drove it hard it would use a
lot more gas kinda like what happens to the Tesla so the comparison is
dumb.
+WBRos59 its was a joke man i was acting like tesla fanboys they always make this car like nothing can beat it or call it the super car killer somthing like that lol
+alarjak The fixed gear ratio reduces its top speed,as the owners point out, it still can't pull 70-90 (30mph below top speed)Also why have Tesla taken of the 681bhp from their website? It seems a bit fishy.....Things don't add upAnd frankly judging from the chief engineers long winded answer, its probably true. why didn't he just say yes or no, why did Tesla take off the 691bhp from their website....here is an article //www.hybridcars.com/what-is-the-actual-overall-horsepower-rating-for-the-tesla-p85d/
+gerard menvuca It doesn't have 700bhp, that was just marketing bullshit. The motors are rated for that but the battery cant actually deliver it. Owners have complained about this. It makes closer to 550bhp.
