If you go right behind the no wading section (paradise) there is a small stream that breaks of and goes to the other end of the hatchery. There are tons you can probably see 10 different trout side by side there

5 weight fly line, and I got my rod from Fly Fisher's Paradise here in State College. They discontinued the model of rod I use, however.

Nice Fish...Spring Creek is said to be an excellent wild brown trout water...Fished other streams out there but never Spring Creek....Maybe this Spring... Thank You!

Thanks for the view and comment. Spring Creek is considered to be the most fished trout stream in the state, and one of the premier wild brown trout streams in the entire country, most of the fish are in the 10-14 inch range, but there are bigger ones around. In the winter through early spring, I like streamers, and then the olive hatch starts, followed by caddis and sulphur.

I was fishing several miles below the no wading section. The section you can't wade is up by the Stackhouse School and the hatchery, however there are signs that designate where the no wading section begins and ends. For what it's worth, I have never had much luck in the no wading section anyway.
