The democrats are trying to use the extra Tarp money to lend to small businesses since the banks are not. But REPUBLICANS are BLOCKING it! Each and every one of them! Not a single REPUBLICAN wants lend to small businesses. Not a single REPUBLICAN will vote for ending paying 3 plus million to each company to send jobs to China. Not a single republican vote to create green jobs! Not a single REP. will pay for unemployment extension even though they passed 565 billion for other budget busters!

These gimmicks are ONE time things in a five-ten year time frame anyway. Most people buy less than one car every five years, and one house every five years. Its not like they would normally buy a car every few week, or months. The corporate tax rates are you kidding me? Who ACTUALLY pays the listed rates? Warren Buffet has said MANY times he pays 2.76% this is with business, and private combined I know but it gives you a good idea. I only want to hear about taxes paid not political 'rates'.

Every administration has used economy shocks, how fast did you forget the stimulus checks from Bush?There are plenty of Sustained efforts in the green jobs bills that the republicans are blocking. The democrat's are trying to stop us giving each and every company 3 million Plus dollars to ship the jobs directly to China. What about talking about that? Every single republican voted no. Cars and Houses are not Government jobs so how are you saying they are saving Gov jobs instead of Private?

tom, why not just change from 40 hour to 36 hour workweek? would this not require business to hire more people? and folks are stressed out and need more time off anyway, less suicides, mental fatique and stress. and desperation. desperation really feeds on deflation, although this solution might engender some additional deflation. but overall wouldn't this be better and very easy solution?
