why in the fuck would anyone on planet earth who has a brain in his head
store his files on a RAID 0 array (which isn't even a real RAID array)!!!
Use a god damn RAID 10 or 01 if you want to go that route. But really, just
use RAID 1.
My RAID0 was used as the main array for video editing with super fast access to reading the files loading inside Premiere. It was never intended to be used for storage, but so happens some folders were never offloaded to an HDD for back up :(
I had the same problem (failed)..... btw you can easy fix it. Go in the
raid menu then reset the ssd'/ of the raid to non member (it will say that
all data will be lost.. thats not true just the metadata) create the raid 0
again ( important is that the drives are in the same sata slots they were
before the raid crashed) when you did this install windows on another drive
and boot (only if the you had windows on the crashed raid, if not boot from
the normal drive). the raid is still not detected but its shown in the
windows hdd manager as not formated. (sry for bad english) then you need to
download a programm called testdisk from cgsecurity testdisk will find the
lost portitions and should write it again on your drive. Restart and enjoy
the raid :) Found this way at the overclock(net) forums.
+HardwareCanucks well it was a really lame way to loose your data indeed, but don't worry, it could have been worst, like my self when i upgraded last year my psu to the same brand same model, just from 650w to 800w version, and because i was tooo lazy to redo the entire cable management i said since its the exact same psu models, lets use the cables from the previous 650 to the new 800. it turned out that even if the cables looked identical there were not inside, different polarity etc, so when i turned the pc on, nothing worked, and then i realized that all my drives, hdd, ssd and all my backups were burned to death! i paied 200€ to a data recovery company, and plus another 150€ for new disks that the warranty couldn't cover. my latest online backup was 30days old.
I'm having the hardest time with this mission I'm level 11 on a sniper
build on survival but I can not seem to not get hit with a missile and die.
advice?
