Great performances by the kids - particularly 15yo TJ. One thing that bothered me was the lack of panic - everyone deals so philosophically with danger and disaster. Mum doesn't even seem that mad about Dad taking off with the final payment on the mobile home. Maybe that's the point - their lives have led them to expect the worst. Technical quibble: really hard to make out what's happening in the night-time scenes. But a great movie that really stays in the mind.

ehsani may be kind of overreacting, but trust me i have not seen the film and just read the ending...lol, which sucks. But yeah, sometimes you should be careful in talking about movies....but whatver most likely i will forget the ending before i watch it! :) and the trailer does not tell you EVERYTHING about a movie so it's definitely not the same as straight up telling you how it ends!

mmm i was hoping that i would reed some reaction about this movie but guess what did i read? i read how certain people are trying to get rid of their frustration by putting some ugly words and hurting others with those words yeah it`s easy to do it this way, how about try that in your real life???? i would say some respect it`s necessary! what goes arround comes arround

Wow this is intense and chilling in a trailer. What a rare subject matter for an oscar nomination. I am happy the academy went for it. They should take the tv program out of the equation so that the awards are truly for the best films. We have enough shmaltzy tv shows. I hope it gets more audience because of it.

After going to college at Potsdam College and knowing many Indians from this res I needed to see this movie. I enjoyed it and thought that people without knowledge of this area may not like this film but for others who are familar with this res it makes perfect sense.

the old and tired "we are all immigrants" line. look at the cities around the world with mass immigrant populations. look at LA, Rotterdam & London." Multiculturalism in theory is an okay philosophy but in practice its an international disaster.

What I loved about this movie was that it presented itself as something really, really, bleak...and it was actually very moving and uplifting by the end. Melissa Leo was awesome. So subtle and yet so convincing.

Movie came out in '2008 and here in 2014 just now watched & so glad I did. True slow in the beginning but in no time get caught up in her struggles & her intense journeys and root for her to the very end.

I saw the film and understood everything in it. You don't need to be very smart to get it... You can find it at fillmsi.co.cc. I tought it would not be great film but at the and it was actualy...

So you can do a manual zoom and a quick zoom? Could someone tell me if this is better then the Panasonic FZ100? Been trying to decide between the two cameras. Trying to decide if I want to sacrifice the RAW shooting format as well as the swivel screen and slow-mo of the FZ100. Am I over worrying about shooting in JPEG? The 1080p @ 60FPS is interesting... Comment Back?

Do you know if this Sony DSC-HX100 can use a wireless remote to start stop video recording or picture taking? I have seen some cybershot wireless remotes on ebay but I am not sure if they are compatible with this camera. I assume a cybershot remote control would be compatible with all cybershot cameras for basic functions.

I read dpreview, it said that the camera performs sluggishly if you change between modes and they said everything is perfect except this slow performance problem, which is very disappointing according to them. Is it that disappointing according to you? the performance?

Same thing in Greece, its way to expensive, 470euros, while the canon sx30is and the fz100 and hs20exr all cost about 390 euros. Get this price down quickly. 470euros for a compact is a joke! I can get the nikon d3100 with lens for that money.

Can you explain how to do panoramics with this camera. Want to know if they can be shot just holding the camera normal or do you have to hold the camera in vertical position??? Thanks.

@Victorkapz The HX100V is the most popular bridge camera right now. There is no lens to change. You can't go wrong buying this camera. They are in short supply.
