Subaru + Nokian = unstoppable
Climbing up 9% hills in the blizzard of 2015 in 2.5 feet of snow. 2014 stage 2 Subaru WRX Nokian WRG3.
Wow this is impressive!
I am thinking of buying the WRG3 in Vancouver, Canada as my all-season
upgrade.
How are the WRG3 in spring and summer? Since you drive a Subaru WRX, can
you also comment on the high speed driving experience with these?
+Peter Fan they aren't rated for over 100 however they hold just fine in spring and fall under strong driving. I put summer tires on when the temperature stays above 50 f consistently.
If you can fit them try the Yokohama Spec-X. They last about half as long as the WRG3, but are have superior grip in every single season. Especially if you like to drive in a spirited way. I have those 2, and have also tried the TripleTred. Really expected more from the Nokian. It just iced over here, and I'm afraid to drive on them. The Yokohama's are pure fun, though. Also the Nokians I bought (in Seattle) were made in Russia, not Finland. Maybe that makes a difference? Maybe the real Finnish ones are better. I'm guessing Vancouver also sells whatever Seattle sells.
