Love the podcast guys! As always best podcast EU 10/10 IGN. I do agree when
it comes to Trion, I played their game Rift for about 3 years on and off,
slowly saw how cash grab they were getting once they dumped their sub and
started with those damn lockbox and now I don't even play it anymore.
Logged in the other day to see what was going on and the cash shop was
flying all around the damn screen in my face.
Don't devs get it? I mean what would you rather do not be so cash grab and
have a steady stream of income coming in or milk all the tits you can as
quickly as you can then shut shop? I just don't get how they can do this
stuff across the board over a few of their games and people just don't
boycott them. Fuck Trion, I'll never play another of their games again. I
only wish more people had some sense and could see this.
They had the F2P model totally right with Rift for around 6 months and now
they done fucked that all up! "No trials, no tricks and no traps" my ass
lol.
+The Unjust Gamer Thanks for the kind words! :D It's weird how a lot of companies sacrifice long term money for short term money. Like a good amount of money upfront for selling op items in cash shop vs A TON of money over the long term being fair....
Hit me right in the feels when ya said bring back gunz and Knight online
was my first mmo and has a soft spot in my heart i played before it was
released in turkey
+Matt ChelenMeh, I wouldn't think so considering the number of people on Earth. At one point Call of Duty had millions of people playing at once. 10,000 doesn't really register for me. Yes, I know COD is a different type of game and "AAA" but my point remains the same. If it's an MMO and can only bring in 10,000 people at any one time then that doesn't sound that good to me.
