Remember this video was upload and aired in 2012, during the recovery after
our housing crash. Home values in Temecula have increased back to 2007
pricing, which was the peak of our market. This being said, San Diego
housing did not tank like Temecula area housing. Thus, it's still cheaper
to purchase in the Temecula area, plus the Temecula area schools outrank
San Diego Schools on many levels. Crime in the Temecula Area is much lower
than in San Diego County, and though there is a commute to San Diego, the
tradeoff is well worth it to families. Also, keep in mind that property
taxes in Temecula are affordable, and in most areas are lower than San
Diego County homes of the same age. So if you're thinking of moving to the
Temecula Area, know that the schools, crime, taxes, and overall community
feel is much different and better depending on what you're looking for.
We moved here in 1994 intending to build equity then planned to move back
to San Diego. Our family grew and we fell in love with the place. My wife
found work here and I didn't mind the drive. Now that I'm retired, I don't
have to drive anymore and I have a much lower mortgage payment to contend
with. Subsequently, one of the reasons why I can retire.
Temecula worth it compared to san diego ? Yes .. but beware ... everything
north of Temecula is nasty .. riverside people are ghetto and have no
respect .. I know a few good people are here and there .. but doing
business and driving around this place is a nightmare
