+PretermViking You mean what's the point of someone else having an opinion that doesn't match up with yours? Seriously I don't know you yet it is blatantly obvious how much of a cunt you are.
It's funny to see people in the 21st century experiencing a decent writer:
"Ohmegard! The man is a legend, he can write symbol things which inspire my
imagination. R U A WIZARD? Hurr durr"
This man loves food, not only evident by his body, but the food in his
books is the most detailed.
bullshit. nobody opens a car door for a woman because he thinks shes
incapable of doing it herself. im all for chivalry im just responding to
the feminist morons that stated chivalry is a bad thing for women. like its
something evil men do to females. we come from small tribal societies where
the men protected (often pregnant) mothers with little children from males
from other tribes and wild animals. she can give the tribe children, a male
cant. protect her, protect the tribe, protect your kin.
lmao, your comments are ridiculous. they just prove how mentally limited
you are. seriously. you just looked for a fight on the internet in the
first place by sending me a retarded, insulting comment just because my
post was inconvenient to your petty, nonexistent brain. just by this, you
prove you are lower than and more retarded than an ape. you're probably one
of those single, pathetic nerds who thinks he's so badass on the internet,
when his social life is actual a ruin and has no friends.
True, there are worse characters than Jaime in the books, but they're all
bad guys. Think about it: how many morally -grey- characters have done
worse things than Jaime? Tywin, if you count him as grey, and maybe Theon,
who -did- succeed in murdering children... maybe you could add Stannis for
burning people alive... and perhaps Randyll Tarly if you wanna stretch
it... who else? Every other major character who's not a clear villain like
Joff and Ramsay makes Jaime look kinda bad in comparison.
I've read all of the books, and still don't think he's that good a person,
but try to think of the whole "murdering a small child" thing this way:
Cersei is the only person Jaime cares about except Jaime and maybe (BIG
maybe) Tyrion. The child in question is the son of their biggest rival, and
both him and Cersei'd probably be sentenced to death by Robert if the truth
came out. Doesn't make his actions morally right in the slightest, but I
think it makes them less evil when you think that way.
I have, and frankly, I stand by my statement - thanks to the wiki, I had
already known about the whole 'I killed the mad king because he was a
psychotic twat', so that was no surprise. Seeing him be slightly less of a
cunt to Brienne almost offset what a cunt he'd been thus far. Almost. None
of that does anything for me on the 'I tried to murder a small child
because he caught me fucking my sister the queen'. This is not the action
of a 'decent guy who did bad things' as I've seen many claim.
omg! Prometheus --- I agree! My best friend, who knew I can't do horror due
to my dad watching ALIEN with me when I was FIVE took me to see it for MY
BIRTHDAY! I just thought it was a futuristic space movie and he was ..
well.. a guy. So, at the first "slimy thing enter/exit human orifice"
scene, I screamed much louder than the characters then sternly asked my
friend if this was a horror movie. I then exited the theater alone where I
then burst into tears and have a panic attack. Go friends!
Don't get me wrong, I understand his actions - in his place, with his
views, they make perfect sense from a self-preservation standpoint at the
very least. But its still extremely evil. I also understand that hes
supposed to be less of a prick post-injury/in the presence of Brienne, but
from what I've seen from the wiki he still hasn't done anything in the line
of 'good' that would come even close to being on par with the evil of what
he did to Bran (among others). Redemption? Not seein it.
Theon- Great? How?? I think he's a "pathetic" character, far from "great."
He's "clueless" when it involves making viable decisions on anything
important, "self-destructive" without meaning to be (just like Catelyn
Stark), & self-piting when things don't go his way, never realizing that
he's his own worse enemy. He isn't equipped to know how to stop being
stupid. It may not be entirely his fault that he's that way .. but
apparently the apple (Theon) doesn't fall far from the tree (Balon).
yea chivalry is bad couldnt agree more. women and children first? fuck
that. i wont give my place on a life boat to a woman and die in her place.
remember that guy who attacked a bear with his bare hands that attacked his
girlfriend while they were camping? very bad decision he should just have
ran. odd noises in the night? let the wife go down stairs with a baseball
bat to check it out, confront burglars. its cold outside and shes freezing?
dont give her your jacket/pullover etc.
1) Jaime didn't have a "wife." He was fucking his sister who is a
delusional stupid self-serving cunt 2) He saved "no-body" but endeavored to
preserve that arrogant deranged sick-fuck Joffery where Thankfully he
FAILED! lol 3) War came anyway when Cersai erroneously assumed she was
saving herself when she caused Robert's death, which only served to cause
everyone to call their banners after genius Joffery killed Ned Stark 4) So
I ask you, "whose" life did Jaime save?? LOL
There's a difference between medieval chivalry and not being an asshole.
Medieval chivalry is the concept that women are so incapable of doing
anything at all by themselves that men need to do everything for them, and
problems with inequality in our society are largely holdovers from that
mindset. Not being an asshole is the concept that, hey, sometimes women may
need your help, or may feel good when you do them a small favour and you're
willing to provide.
lol. you are incredibly embarrassing. when i say math or science i'm
talking about graduate level theoretical physics, biochem, and pure
mathematics. stuff that grad students and post-grad are forced to study.
you have no clue as to the extent of my intelligence. to people like me..
people like you are insects. and jokes. you're either a typical retarded
chick or a very homosexual guy. either way, consider yourself owned and put
in your place.
think hard about his decision to murder the child. What would happen to him
and the people he loved most if Bran told on them? And what is Bran to him?
Just a kid he doesn't even know. He's a knight, he's seen war, he's seen
horrible things. Killing Bran isn't that much of a big deal for someone who
say people be cooked alive in their armor. Especially when his whole world
can come crashing down if the boy says anything about what he saw!
I kinda had to laugh about this :D....But I personally have the strong urge
to mother him... just everything for dear George to make him as comfy and
relaxed as possible. And I think he likes talking about this stuff so who
are we to tell him what to do. But I also really hope he takes care of
himself so he can finish everything and still has 20 years to live :) I
just want him to feel good haha
Haven't had the opportunity to read the books yet, only watched the HBO
series, but I'd be hard pressed to accept 'redemption' for attempting to
brutally murder a child to cover up his incestuous relationship with his
sister. An interesting character I'll grant, and a decent villain of sorts,
but - as a murderous, egotistical, sister-fucker - one I really could never
come to like.
How on earth can you say that if you haven't even bothered to read the dam
books? You need to read the later books to see more about Jamie and
understand his character. Don't go and dismiss him and think you are right
just because you didn't like him at first or you thought he was too evil
for redemption because really he is hardly the worst character in the books.
I think Gregor Clegane is either Worse or cut from the same cloth .. after
all, it's alluded that he killed his own father, sister, wife (anybody fool
enough to marry him deserved death, lol) household servants, Rhaeger's wife
& children & anybody along the way. He would have killed Sandor if he could
.. & did it all with no apparent pang of conscience.
Feminism means equality for men and women - so what that would entail is
men and women looking after each other equally, and treating each other
well and not thinking that another gender is inferior or unable to protect
themselves. Chivalry is okay for some, but other people are allowed their
opinions and that does not make them 'morons' :)
Well I can't help but hate him, the whole killing kids thing was pretty
uncool but I can see where his motivation comes from. He wants a place to
belong. Shunned by his father, constantly reminded he's a faggot by the
Starks, he thought if he did what he did his dad would love him, instead it
got him buggered by the bastard of Bolton.
whoa dude.. I was with you the first couple books. he's a dcik, and I was
so angry when george gave him point of view chapters in the series. but
then I started to realize his thinking and his motivations, and he's very
okay guy. In fact, I feel conflicted about him now, he's a decent guy but
did some horrible things. it's complicated
I'm past math and science kiddie crap , because I'm a med college student,
you little shit. I know how all teens are like, they think they're
mightiest once they've reached adolescence and think everyone on the
internet is younger than them and that they must patronize them. Get your
head out of your ass.
Ok, don't get personal. I'm going to have so agree with Sandi, Cercei is
not a brilliant mother, Jamie was not in the right and not doing anything
morally right by throwing Bran out of the window. He was serving himself,
thinking selfishly. He hates Joffrey, so he most definitely wasn't saving
him.
how can a person like theon greyjoy ...... hound okay jaime okay they are
very strong and kinda cool but greyjpoy is just a traitor without any good
sides at least i dont know them i only read till half of book 4 so perhaps
he does something cool but i doubt it cuz well ..... (wqont spoil it^^)
Please only interview george when he's asleep, drunk, eating or in other
ways unable to write. Everything else is a waste of his precious time. He
neither looks or sounds very healthy and he probably wont live for another
20 years. Imagine him dying without telling anyone how the books end.
How do you figure that when it only served to increase the emnity between
the Lannisters & Starks resulting in all out War? The 'secret' got out
anyway when Stannis told the entire Kingdom. There is absolutely Nothing
'secret' that will not be revealed in some shape, form, or fashion. :-)
Oh, so "Now" you agree that Joffery is "monsterous?" LOL Got News for you
.. there's NONE in that deranged family who has ANY "redeeming" qualities
at all, with the exception of "maybe" Tyrion .. that remains to be seen. :-)
I don't like him the first time he was introduced.. pretending to be Reek
when he's actually Ramsay but now he's just one of my favorite villain..
that treacherous, sadistic, bastard... The Boltons are amazing villains..
that is the magic of the books. You hate Jaime through and through but
somehow you end up liking him without him changing much, and Theon oh how
you hate Theon but at some point you WILL feel bad for him, oh poor Theon.
Cersai, a "brilliant" mother!!??? LOL Yeah, we'll see just how "brilliant"
she is! LOL I feel so sorry for poor lil Myrcella & Tommen, sad products of
the "brilliance" of Cersai & Jaime!! May they rest-in-pieces LOL
He saved the lives of 500 000 people and everyone hates him for it... He
saved Brienne's life. He makes an effort to honor his promise to Catelyn.
If you read the books, you'd know his thought process.
It's interesting how you can use the words "morally" and "righteous" in the
same sentence when you "commending" someone for attempted vile act of
murder, LOL Go figure!! LOL
Nationalists don't hate England, nationalists love Scotland. to say that
nationalists hate english people is totally ignorant. Just because i
support any team that plays England in the world cup does not mean i hate
english people.
