#72 Russian vocabulary and grammar - dates, what's the date: 12.11.2015; on the first of January
Imagine that you asked out a Russian girl, but you can't say when you wanna meet her - on what day?... That would be a disaster! In order for this not to happen ...
I mean that you are so helpful! Your lessons are great, you have out on your channel an incredible variety of material, and even though I have just started my russian classes at university, I often find myself skimming through your videos! Congrats +Antonia Romaker - English and Russian online
Antonia, you are beautiful! All your videos are of very high quality, and
from the bottom of my heart, Большое спасибо; I recommend your teaching
videos. If you will allow me to suggest something, I would suggest you
split the english channel lessons from the russian channel ones, many
followers of the russian channel do not need english class ;-) so english
people do not need to hear about english lessons.
+Benoit Ratelle Thank you very much! This is good advice, but it is too late, there are too many popular videos of both types at this channel, if I split them, one of the types will lose A LOT, so, I don't think it is a good idea. I believe it is not so hard to differentiate and watch the videos which one needs.
+Jorge Alexandre I am really glad to know that! Thank you for the comment ;)

+raiferdous +Dharam Pal You would say 'she is in her room', not 'she is at her room'. 'at' is not the same as 'in' or 'on'.the word 'at' can have SIMILAR meaning to both the words 'near' and 'to', so 'at' can be used to mean 'nearness to something' or 'action in a place'.For example, you can say 'she is near the bus stop' or 'she is at the bus stop', here 'near' and 'at' have the same meaning.Another example is, 'she has gone to the park' or 'she is at the park', here 'has gone to' and 'is at' have the same meaning. The final and most difficult example is, 'a worshiper is at church' and 'a tourist is in the church',here the WORSHIPER is IN the church and DOING something with the church, so we can use 'at';the TOURIST is IN the church but is NOT DOING something with the church so we just use 'in'.I hope this helped you. This is difficult to think about even for native speakers, so do not feel bad if you find it difficult.
+Jhon Arbey I'm not sure but, if anyone else trying to find out how to train your dog try Scrafielding Incredible Dog Training Secrets (just google it )? I have heard some awesome things about it and my mate had amazing success with it.
+Maria Quinteros Hi Maria, I'm a native English speaker and I can tell you that you can use both! When its snowing, or if you are playing with the snow and throwing it around you, you are surrounded by snow or 'enclosed by it'; in this case you say that you are playing IN the snow. If it is not snowing and you are not playing with the snow, then you would say that you are playing ON the snow. This is the case even if you are in a room, because the snow and the room are different things, for example, 'We play football on the snow, in the room'Goldenson already covered this but I tried to make it clearer.I Hope this helps you.
+Maria Quinteros It would be ''play on the snow'',bec. we can only play above it(position);not inside it(based on general conditions). But,if you are playing inside an artificial or a natural room built with snow pellets;then only you can say that,''playing in the snow".Thanks!
+Goldenson Arena. As A native English speaker, I can tell you you can say, " I am on a bus, referring to the action of taking a bus to a specific destination, I am on the bus to town and also "I am in the bus right now, I just got on the bus.
+Dp Dc You are wrong!.According to the lecture, here, the bus is like a closed space (box) with physical limitations(walls);so that,we can only say: "I am in/inside a bus".(But,if you are crazy, and standing on the top of the bus, then only you can say:"I am on a bus".)THANKS.
