IMATS & L.A. Haul. We had an awesome time but it's great to be back too! I've got a ton of new videos for you this month! Thanks for watching! P.S. Nails= Zoya ...
Hi Christine~ welcome back! I watched all of your trip vids. I'm a new
subbie only a few months and hope to look at all of your vids, soon, and
catch up. I really enjoy you, your knowledge and calm demeanor. ☺ The
Aphogee (pronounced Af '-a-gee) line has been around for many years. It and
the Ion conditioners are very good. The Aphogee products are usually for
extremely damaged or dry hair. Expect it to not smell good and it sets or
dries hard on your hair. But, it is a really good product. HTH
***If you CARE please read the WHOLE thing. :) I'm a new beauty guru but is
having a hard time getting subscribers. Its hard to get more subscribers if
you have no exposure. I dont know why I cant get subscribers because I work
MY BUTT OFF on filming & editing. All im asking if for you to click the
THUMPS UP button so people know I do exist so they can check out my
channel.
I just hope your not NOT buying things for US and you really want to buy
more. who cares if you love makeup and if you wanted to buy 10 things there
then you should... I respect you for cutting back if you don't want to or
whatever but if you ever do because something NEW has come out and you want
to try then DO... I just hope you wont miss out on something you love but
wont buy cause it's your 11th purchase in a year and you said only 10.. Cut
yourself some slack... If you can then do!!!!
Aloha- I have been watching your videos because we (boyfriend and I in our
30's) are moving to Lahaina. I started by watching your day vlogs and I
have to say... I really enjoy your videos. I am not into fashion but you
make it entertaining. I think your makeout 2013 is good and for you knowing
there is more in life than stuff. I would love to see more food and fun
videos. I also really enjoy your decorating and your room videos because it
helps give me an idea on budget. Thank you!
great purchases. I think that when you buy few items you appreciate them
more. so buying "one of each" is better :) Inglot just arrived at my
country. I love their products. I haven't tried the pressed blushes. I have
the liquid and I love it! really good formula. lasts a long time. only
problem is, there are few shades with the liquids.. I also love their
glitters or loose eyeshadows a lot of multiple-chromes which are amazing! I
only bought one but planning on trying more.
You have amazing self control! You went to IMATS & came away with only one
Inglot product! I may have been tempted to spend my 10 there! I am really
wanting to try thieir blushes & shadows.... btw.. Thankyou for inspiring me
to purge my makeup today... I was still hanging on to a revlon "wine with
everything" that was in their old packaging (probably 8 years old +) Ha!
I've saved my mascara wands to use as brow brushes... xo
Welcome back Christine! Those cowl neck's are beautiful and an excellent
idea. You always have a comforting and calming demeanor in all your videos.
I hear what you mean about acquiring too much. You can only use so much.
It's great to purge and reorganize. I just got an 8-drawer acrylic clear
cube in addition to my 5 stanton carts and it's really helped reorganize my
makeup. Hope the weather clears in Maui!!!!
My hair was fried from over processing. I left my hairdresser of 15yrs to
go to an aveda salon for color. They immediately fixed my hair to look
better than ever in my life. I will never go any where else. A cut, color
will run about $170 here in LA but you can also just buy their conditioning
products! Also, we have a inglot store here so I have tried everything...I
like it all except the nail products
I was thinking...Isn't accepting brushes and glitter breaking your contract
with yourself? I realize you didn't purchase them, but it is still bringing
more in. If someone offered you 5 beautiful lipsticks from a new line you
would take them like you did those, right? Now you could say, I didn't
purchase them, but isn't it defeating your purpose? So, is it mainly to
save money?
Yeah I had a really good expensive camera, it's been 3 years and it's
having a ton of issues despite me never having dropped it or spilt anything
on it! I swear the electronics companies do it on purpose so that you have
to keep buying more. Because you know in this day and age they must have a
way to make electronics last a long time! My apple products wear out fast
too
Just a comment on your camera, I have been using digital cameras for 11
years and I find they generally only last me 2 years then I am looking for
a replacement as the quality seems to decline. Also when I upgrade the
price is usually the same but the quality is usually a,lot better. I don't
find it surprising that you are looking for a replacement :)
Hey, I just wanted to ask you if you had ever tried any of the EO brand of
oils? I recently bought a bottle from TJ Maxx and it seems pretty good to
me but, I am just learning about all of the oils and stuff. If you have
tried EO please let me know what you think of that brand so I know if I
should repurchase from their website. :o)
I'm a former subbie but just got a new account. Anyways just wanted to tell
you I have major respect for you. Most people I've seen talk about not
letting themselves by more makeup as a resolution eventually fall back off
the wagon. It's really nice to see someone stick to it and show us that's
it's possible. Very motivating :)
Can you let us know what you think of the Sigmax brush you got? I know you
love your Sedona Lace brushes and I've only ever used Sigma, but I'm
interested in trying out Sedona Lace (specifically the midnight lace
collection) so I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Sigma brush and maybe
compare it with your Sedona Lace ones!
I love inglot, if you have a chance as one item, you should het there
eyeshadow palette! That's one palette ;), so sad I didn't get the chance to
meet you there, I went in June and thought it was too soon to go back in
January!. I'm happy you got to experience imats! It's super fun! Wow too
many exclamation marks sorry hehe.
You could adopt the saying: 1 item in means 1 item out ! It keeps your
"collection" the same. I adopt this for clothing, books, makeup etc. It
helps to keep the clutter down and shows me what I don't use because each
time I buy something I have to go through my stuff to find something to
toss. Hope it helps !
Please be careful with the eye lash growth serum. Some products have
prostaglandin derivatives in them, and those are used to treat glaucomas.
The ingredient might be dangerous for someone who does not have glaucomas
or other eye problems. Just be careful, and look up the active ingredients
before trying.
I've tried the full size of that lash serum from a beauty army kit and
found that it wasn't as effective as the previous serum I was using
(RapidLash). It wasn't irritating at all to my eyelids, but my lashes
seemed to go back to their original length. Love your videos!
I understood her bargain to reject blowing money on creating clutter; I
thought it was both purposes as intertwined. Part of the pain of her
de-cluttering was seeing how much money went into each item that was just
sitting there or wasn't useful to her anymore.
I am now living in the mainland (oh I miss Hawaii!) & I am so happy to find
an Island Girl like you who makes beauty videos!! I LOVE your attitude
about limiting what you buy & keeping yourself in check. Keep it up girl!
:-) -You new loyal subscriber
Hey Christine :) i love your videos and you inspired me to reduce the
amount of make up I buy. Im just curios, did you also include mascara in
your make up limitation, since they expire after 3 months? Thank you for
sharing your videos :)
The silk elements conditioner is amazing if you have thiick hair as you
do.For me it was too moisturizing and made my hair lipm but it is a good
conditioner and smells nice. You look so pretty today, love your hair back
like that.xoCathy
How did you pack your oils for the trip? Most of them are not that big, but
I normally use so many that I can't bring them all with me. So, normally I
only bring a couple in a travel size bottle, but I always feel like I need
more.
I normally don't have patience for haul videos but I just love any video
you do :) I think you should totally grow out your natural hair, not that
the highlights aren't pretty, but I think the brown would look gorgeous on
you :)
The Aphogee 2-step treatment is a hard protein treatment. It stinks to high
heavens and makes your hair get as hard as a brick Before you wash it out.
It's a great treatment but you just have to follow the directions exactly.
You look SO gorgeous in this video! I mean you always do...but something in
this one is different...maybe you look a bit more tanned? Or maybe you have
a bit more of a cat eye going on...not sure but GORGEOUS!!!
Christine - I use the Ion shampoo for color-treated hair all the time and
it is the best shampoo I have ever used. Ion products are really great. I'm
sure you will enjoy them. Thanks for sharing. Welcome home!!

Aloha Beauties! Had to work and run errands today. Hope to film Lip Favorites of 2012 tomorrow! xoxo Christine Music By: Danosongs.
What you said about diversity is definitely one of the most unique things
about Hawaii in comparison to the other states. People on the mainland,
especially my part of it, just do not and absolutely CAN NOT understand
what that is like. I was on Oahu and I'm guessing the racist attitudes
among some locals are more likely there than on Maui because of the
military's presence and there being more tourism and development. I've
heard stories about how Wahiawa use to be, with heavy scrutiny against
military kids in the schools and I heard some things from kids at a camp I
attended. Still, for the most part, the place is diverse and generations
are use to it and live harmoniously. I just live vicariously through these
videos and wish I could step through my TV and be there.
Here's my January Favorites! I'd love to hear your most loved product of January too! Post it in the comments! Thanks for watching and sharing! xoxo Christine ...
Hi Christine,so glad your back, when you mentioned your first purchase of
the year I had to quick run to your makeup out 2013 video,I AM on your
wagon with that this year and I realized I have purchased 5~!! already this
year :( ...when I think about those 5 items I didn't really need any of
them! Just confessing so I can be accountable and get back on the empty
makeup truck. Thanks for listening and the great video!

I was looking so long for MAC chromagraphic pencil and couldn't find it
whether in Asia or Europe stores, but I am sure in USA you can find it as
it is in pro MAC line. But for those who are living in Europe or Asia
Chanel "Le Crayon Khol" 69 Clair is a very good option.

eye look too. you said it and now it's stuck in my head. could you please

alas I'm not brave enough!
You know, I have tried TONS of mascara and I mean TONS and I still keep
coming back to CoverGirl Lash Blast. I don't know what it is. It makes my
lashes look so natural but at the same time full and long. Just love that
mascara! :)
The look you have on in this video makes you look soooo young and
gorgeous!! im not saying that like you look old or anything so please don't
take it that way you just look so bright and fresh!:) tutorial on this

Glad to see you're shopping your stash! So many of the makeout videos are
full of "exceptions". I watched one guru who was doing makeout 2013 but
listed 50 exceptions she would be buying. Really? Not much of a challenge.

My Jan. favorite is a lip balm I made myself chocolate flavored I used all
natural coconut oil Shea butter and vitamin e. I love it! Trying to perfect
my recipe so I can make some for my family and friends. :)
This video maked me to remember ANTM, that moment then models did a
commersial for Cover Girl mascara. Love videos like this although I can't
buy most of these products in Ukraine. Forgive me my English)
I love this channel. This is really one on the only channels I have found
where eyes like mine are addressed. Do you follow or have any other
channels that you subscribe to where they have deep set eyes?
Thanks to your videos, my husband and I are planning a vaca to Hawaii next
year. We will be going to Oahu, so any must-see/do tips would be much
appreciated!!! Ps your eyes look amazing in this video
This is one of my favorite looks on you. Your hair and makeup look great
and complements your natural beauty and your skin is looking fantastic! I
wish I look this gorgeous after cleaning the house
I love that you are shopping your stash...you have certainly inspired me to
do that as well....it feels like we just bought it-dosen't it??? Thats a
great feeling-an accomplishment!!!
Hi Christine, I was wondering what oil/oils would u recommend 4 redness
around the eye area including eyelids?? Luv ur videos and ur skin looks
amazing!! Much luv from Philly
Too Faced lipstick is very nice, I wonder, besides being a nude color is
not so extremely outrageous, how beautiful you Bronzer is the really great!
Kissus of chocolate
Can you do a tutorial on this look? You look gorgeous! I have that bare
minerals eye shadow quad and would love to get this look! its always more
sparkly and intense on me
You look so pretty, a nice subtle glow. I would also like to know if you
have a dupe for soft brown. Looking forward to your next video. Stay sweet
and true as always.
Your new clean and bright eye makeup looks amazing on you. Also, your hair
up off your face looks very pretty. The color of your eyes is very unusual
and beautiful.
loving the lighter make up and also great that you're using up all your
older stuff, makes you appreciate it again and sometimes you fall in love
with them too!
