I heard about the incident in France. This guys 3.0 V6 Diesel Vel Satis was cruising at 81mph in cruise control and the car began to accelerate itself upto 125mph. It took him 2 hours to stop the car and the road had to be cleared by the police.

Yes u have right, very ugly style. I'm sure it's a very nice car but, how can Renault make this car after such a nice models like Renault 25 and Safrane? Even the Renault Laguna II in my opinion's got a much better style than Laguna III

I hope Renault replace the Vel Satis, i always liked the Renault "top models". They should come out with the Laguna Coupe concept, that's my favourite from Renault! I'm sure it will be a sucess...

I agree. I've got 2 safranes, and although they do have electrical and mechanical component problems I prefer it over that Vel Satis or AVantime thing any day.

Nice video. It shows the 2005 facelifted version, "phase2", not the first version from 2001. Good car, I have a 2002 model.
