2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV (Loaded) - Right After purchase
Heres a quick vid my bro took right after I picked up my new ESV. Please forgive me sounding like an idiot... I was excited about the new purchase... A special ...
The one thing I was choked about, is when I baught this the Canadian Dollar
was at par with the US dollar. For the price I paid for the Canadian
vehicle, I could have saved money AND gotten the platinum edition for
cheaper, unfortunately all the US dealerships hung up on me when I called
to buy it... Gas is gas, It has a big engine... In one year I've put
50,000KM on it (for work) and I think my expenses for gas came out to
14,000 bucks for last year. Heavy/Cruising I haven't paid attention to.
oh i know that for sure, im in the US, in wisconsin. i would like the
normal shorty escalade, just like your black on black with the stock 22s.
im glad you had no issues, that shows the quality workmanship and
reliability with Cadillac now a days. im 24 and right now my eyes are
bigger then my pocketbook on the escalade, i currently have a 2003
oldsmobile aurora. hows the gas in it? how does it do when you drive it
normal without heavy throttle? hows the ride? is it like a spa on wheels
lol?
All in all, she's driving fine... To my surprise the only issue's Ive had
that havn't been caused by service departments (issues that shipped with
the truck), are the emblems disintegrated on the rims and on the back of
the vehicle... And I had issues with my passenger mirror. Other than that
she's slick! This is for sure a purchase that was worth it... If you ever
pick one up, just make sure you do some investigation into the service
dealership you take it too, some are better than others.
the tahoe/yukon/escalade replacements either way would be on the next
generation silverado/sierra chassis, which will get replacements, so dont
fret those SUV's are still massively profitable per each one sold, compared
to a lambda suv, and it doesn't that long to develop because it'll be on
the next gen truck chassis i definatley see the tahoe/yukon/escalade
replacements in 2012 at the earliest, but it'll probably end up coming
somewhere between 2013-2015 with the silverado replacement
Actually I think your referring to a lease. I actually had to finanace this
thing cuz of the km I'm going to be putting on it. I drive around lots for
work and stuff.. I put 10K down, and the payments are around 1,500 a
month... The MSRP of the vehicle is $96,455... Keep in mind this is
Canadian pricing, we get effin jipped. Gas is a bitch, its retarded. And
insurance isn't actually too bad.. I have ultimate insurance covering
EVERYTHING. 2 million liability too. 2400 a year
Yo, a vehicle is a vehicle man... The only reason why I baught this is
because its the only thing I would personally drive, had nothing todo with
the pricetag, or the fact people use them in rap videos... I got the ESV
cuz its the ESV, personally i think the other ones are ugly... Just like
how YoOiTzJaY got a jeep, he got it cuz he wanted it... Lets be happy here
:) hahaha
Nope, all the windows are closed... Why do you ask? I need it because I
haul alot of stuff around, and I need it sheltered from the environment...
And when I'm not working, I'm a hardcore camper, mountian bike rider,
road-tripper, etc... I used to own a Ford Explorer and even with the seats
out of it, it wasn't big enough sometimes for work, and camping.
Umm, sorry guys. You are partially mistaken. Since the Escalade and
Suburban names have so much "equity" in them for their brands, they will
indeed have replacements. The same cannot be said for the Yukon and Tahoe
though (unfortunately). ***It was recently rumored that the next Escalade
may go to the Lambda platform (an idea that I hate btw).
They don't have too many with the retractable steps here in Canada mainly
because of the weather (If ice builds up, they break if you don't turn them
off), and also because of the fact I think its a 2000 dollar option (When I
baught it, the fully loaded escalade was 30,000 dollars more in Canada than
the US when our US to CAD daller was equal)
boy,you guys really crush me when you throw in the "rap videos crap".i've
seen several Lincoln Navigators, and RR's in rap videos as well.give it a
rest with the "rap video" mess.the truck is sweet.i guess you'll be getting
your own gas station to drive it,now that gas is a penny away from $4.00 a
gallon
Always been a fan of Suburban style vehicles since I was a young kid when
my dad had a suburban. Also, its about who has the much mobile real-estate
on the road :P haha joking. I actually got the bigger one because I do alot
of camping. And sometimes for work I have to move alot of equipment around.
