I discovered the Zone Diet after about two years experimenting with
nutrition following a clever little Excel Worksheet I cooked up in a few
days trying to find a perfect macronutrient balance. I was shocked when I
discovered it was nearly identical to the zone diet. Zone gets it's
calories 40% from Carbs 30% from Protein and 30%from Fat. The one I made
was 45% Carbs 25% Protein 30% Fat. After knowing that I practically came up
with the perfect diet really makes me feel like a genius!
Nice presentation. Every diet takes consistent effort. There's no diet you
can do which will allow you to lose weight, and then quit the diet and not
gain the weight back. There are diets, such as this, which can actually be
maintained indefinitely.
Zone totally works...for athletes, kids, pregnant and nursing ladies... I
prefer "nutritional plan" to "diet" as diet implies it is novel and
temporary. BTW...Atkins died fat.
The Zone Diet works. It is hard to do for a lifetime though, it's easy to
keep adding carbs and starches when good proteins aren't available. I'd
endorse it though.
Sweet. Glad to hear it. As far as creatine or any supplement goes, it
always depends on the why and what you're using it for. I love the fact
that creatine helps me recover quicker for rapid bursts of power and that
it helps with strength. For fighting I don't like the fact that it
increases the pump. Bigger pumps equal heavy arms and you're arms get heavy
faster in my opinion. It the same thing for ground work. Holding isometric
positions and getting a massive pump doesn't help here.
wow that looks oh so very nasty, but you know what, I guess that is what is
healthy no a days. Im a taste guy myself, I think this is an excellent idea
for mixing it all up in the blender though. Just to answer a question to
MissBobbi regarding P90X, I would recommend the diet program P90X comes
with. This diet (zone) drives more for someone who wishes to loose weight
to begin such a program. Tried it myself.
The zone diet. I eat more on concept then by a written out plan. Wherever I
go I just eat veggies, fruit, EFA's and lean protein at each meal. I'm
active so I eat until I'm full at each meal. Not complicated but it works.
Protein supplements are good if that is what you need to do to get your
adequate protein intake. I personally only use it when I'm rushed on
regular food prep.
