@habanacus I think it's just to distinguish it from the competition. It's a fairly unique shape for an external hard drive I have to say. I'm half and half weather I want one though because I've had some of their drives before and they've not lasted the test of time sadly, but then portable drives tend to die much sooner than ones that live on your desk lol. The enclosure is still in use though, keeps the drive inside nice and cool, unlike the Iomega enclosures... good lord do they get hot!

Cool video Dave! Awesome Product! I love how it looks. I will be purchasing the 1tb model! I really need it for my iMac lol :) and what I love about it is that its not bulky its thin and doesn't take so much space...thats a big thumbs up!

Dave, I'm looking for a hard drive for backup. What would you recommend? Doesn't have to be portable but i like the idea of no external power source being be required!

@alinthebest As he mentioned, the maximum it can reach is 480Mb/s with USB 2.0 and 5000Mb/s with USB 3.0.
