Our Nashville Public Library team celebrates library cards in this adaptation of Meghan Trainor's performance of “All About That Bass,” as seen on The Tonight ...
Yeah, it would be great... and truthful IF the Nashville Public Library was
really "all about the books".
Truthfully, for a very long time the library department appears more
concerned with circulation numbers by way of popular audio, visual and
cyber-related mediums to justify its annual budget allocated by the Mayor
and Metro Council than in quality reading materials otherwise known as
books.
That's not even mentioning our very hard earned tax dollars purchasing
video game systems, large flat screen televisions and other nonsensical
items as well as the branches acting as after school daycare centers for
youths. Libraries are NOT community or development centers; quit inflating
your purposes and thus your budget needs for those purposes.
I have a grand idea NPL, how about you put OUR MONEY where YOUR MOUTH is
and actually make it, "ALL ABOUT THE BOOKS".
Oh, I am sorry, I didn't know you spoke for ALL the tax payers... particularly NASHVILLE/DAVIDSON COUNTY tax payers.Next time you come down from Buffalo, you might want to give OUR city a few thousand dollars in order to maintain your so outspoken voice concerning our tax and social business. I am sure the city will take donations and put them to good use. Otherwise, focus on your own city/county in upstate New York. We will voice our opinions and take care of ours just fine without you.
yes, also known as serving the actual wishes of public, not the wishes of the snobs who think they know best what media the public should be allowed free access to
Toooootally know how you feel. IM ALL ABOUT THE BOOKS!!!
