Hey there! My biggest piece of advice is to go nice and gentle, slowly, with little pressure, especially the first time. The horse needs time to get used to it- you don't want him to panic and flip. Start with only walk, and then maybe some trot. Canter is later, if at all. It's to teach the horse that there is a release of pressure when he or she is in the right position, which can hopefully get phased out as she learns. I'll see about posting more!

@rachaelray1515 Yeah, he actually turned out to be almsot 10 years older than originally thought. He's an old guy, not so great at multitasking any more!

Hi, What colour is Gunner - buckskin palouse? Also how tall is he, he looks quite big for a mini, is he over height? He seems a really delightful little fellow. I have seen all 5 of your videos and have enjoyed them all. You have a lovely relationship with your horses as well as Gunner. I use my boy Spud who is a leopard palouse x shetland for harness he is 9.1hh and he enjoys getting out in the cart, I have the same type of cart as you, being so light it makes it easier for him to pull.

What is the name of the song/music and recording artist you chose for this? I would love to get a copy of this song. P.S. Your driving videos are really very, very good. I have a mini that I want to start in harness and find them very useful.

Gunner is a silver buckskin. He is a lithe taller at 37 inches, so he would fall into the class B category for minis which I prefer, especially for driving. Thanks for watching.
