I'm sick of hearing about Supras. They're overrated. So here's a vid of a Supra getting it's ass handed to it by a 2002 Subaru Legacy during the spectator 1-on-1 ...
I find the Supra to be a pretty impressive performance car to build.
What makes little sense to me is how many I see with over 1000 horse power
that only achieve 10 second quarter mile times. They all seem to be hooking
up just fine so I don't understand the issue.
If they cannot put the power to ground for a 1320 feet, than maybe it isn't
the best platform to build that kind of power in.
I have seen Fox platform cars run in the eight second range with 750 horse
power.
It seems as though many of the popular tuner cars today require a lot more
power to do the same job some of the older favorites achieved, but that
doesn't make them any less impressive.
+David McGuire The later model Supras that popular weigh a little more than a C5 corvette. Not much at all.My taste in automobiles has a very expansive range as well. Porsche probably my favorite overall but I have a love for the old American V8s I grew up with as well as the versatility of some of the Honda power plants that I have seen tinkered with over the years. am easily impressed by the performance of many modern cars but few have the real world durability that really impresses me.
+1400IntruderVS This is an old video. My taste and appreciation for different cars has expanded a lot since then. Peak horsepower numbers aren't everything. Getting good power throughout the desired RPM range is important. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Supras are actually surprisingly heavy.
Turbosmart Big Bubba - Subtlety Is Overrated!
This is a bit of a departure from our usual philosophy of trying to fit a lot of performance into small packages. Sometimes BIG is indeed better! Say hello to Big ...
+Brandon Willis the 3000gt is not the same as the stealth at all. the 3000 has a nicer more reliable engine plus a lot more perks then the stealth. like it being rhd and way more
First Gen Stealth > Second Gen StealthThird Gen 3000GT > Second Gen 3000GTAll use the same power plant, the 6G72. How could the stealth have an engine that isn't as good if it's the same thing. When I open the hood of my car i see "Mitsubishi" on the front valve cover.
