Logic Pro X Tutorials - How to setup your Audio interface
Most people who just start out with music production can't figure out how to get sound out of their DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). So, in this video I will show ...
do you know what to do if it recognizes the interface in the input section
but not the output? and even though it's recognized on the input section I
have get zero signal to the program. Thanks!
It's a scarlett 2i2 and the research I did says I don't to install anything. It's worked before for years but now out of no where it has stopped. Do you think it may have been a system update on my computer or something?I've also heard people with the same issue which leads me to believe otherwise.
It is possible to make music without it, but the sound will be not as good and the latency will be horrible. It's not expansive to get on these day's. Just search 'audio interface' on amazon and check some reviews for a good interface. I personally recommend MOTU or M-AUDIO.
I mate,
thanks for sharing this knowledge with us! I have a lil question:
Yesterday, It worked all well done! I have a MOTU interface too! Today, I
wanted to record some audio (singings) but I couldn't hear it on my phones…
The R-button was blinking red. What shell I do?
Could you help me? Thanks!
I use an Alesis IO2 audio interface...it shows up as there..but I can't use
it to record audio with. Audio tracks I create with it as the input come
with no record button. There is evidently a bug in Logic Pro X which has
not been fixed...very annoying. :0(
+drake boggs Make sure you have clicked all the right little buttons on your Allesis...Try that. Make sure your LOGIC is recognising your external sound card/midi unplug it and plug it back it...there are also little switches for analogue and digital input on it...make sure you've tried changing those. Also...try it with a mic..or another instrument to see if it works with them. It's usually something very simple that get's over looked. Also make sure in settings on your computer you choose the Alesis as your 'input' and your inbuilt computer system for output. (Unless youare using something else for output) I hope this helps .Good luck.
