+The Truth Well let me start by saying that I was merely questioning your "facts" that you threw out there as I had not heard any of those specifically and I have done a ton of research on a lot of these issues. I am on your side on the main issue, I think that there is a huge, systemic problem here and at the minimum all police departments should be checked and rid of any racially biased practices. But I also think it's tough when you know there are lies being told and there are facades being used, it's tough to know what in all of this is truth or a lie anymore. If you can post a link to the story of where cops have gotten promotions for killing black people that would be great. The fundraising thing for THIS SPECIFIC SITUATION makes sense to me because the Wilson vs. Brown situation seemed like it could've gone either way, the man had committed multiple crimes and, I won't say assaulted, but he did aggressively confront the officer. That doesn't excuse the way the department was being ran or the multiple other situations just like this where black men have gotten shot for much less than what Brown did, and that needs to end.

Police are not allowed to just kill, maim or injur people because they run. It's repugnant to defend such a selfish human being that seemed to NOT care about other lives and safety. But the police still MUST do their job enforcing the law without breaking or bending the law. That means we don't run down the suspect with our patrol car. That means that officer should face correctional activity even if we all want him to his the suspect that just endangered all those people. This was wrong.

Your statement is unclear, but honestly nobody has a right to endanger other lives without cause. At the point that suspect excited his car and was on foot he was simply trying to escape. Capturing him was a pretty good certainty given the proximity of police. Hitting him with a squad car was NOT an option and if it was deliberate the officer should be charged with a crime. Police are there to enforce the law not to break it. Two wrongs never make a right.
